Lucky for you that wasnt among the list of conditions, then.

Bob Martinez entered the room and came straight over to where Diane and Harry were huddled. Bob looked appreciatively at Diane, and smiled warmly. Harry thought it was a bit more warmly than Bob had greeted him the other day. Sipowicz and Sorenson watched him approach, and shared a few comments Diane couldnt hear. She thought they looked suspiciously at Bob, and she made a mental note to check in with them later.

Hey, buddy, Bob shook Harrys hand. Looks like you ran into some excitement here, eh?

Yeah, Im a real drama buff. If I cant attend the theatre on my own, we might as well bring the whole macabre act inside the hospital so all the inmates can become acculturated.

Well, Im sincerely happy the audience interactivity portion turned out in your favor. What say we spring you from this joint?

You wont hear any argument from me.

Okay. Great. Im having your suit sent up, so while Im gone, get dressed. Well be back to pick you up shortly. Diane, I need you in court.

Dont I need to come to court?

Denby, youre insane until I testify otherwise, Diane grinned. They are not about to let a wild man like you loose on the city until I tell them its safe.

Well, then. As long as you put it like that, Ill be content to sit tight in eager anticipation of your return. Godspeed, my child.

See you later, Father Denby, Bob chuckled and winked. Bob put his hand on the small of Dianes back and gently guided her out of the room, smiling at her and telling her some kind of joke, because she laughed. All cops eyes were boring into them as they exited the room. Not one of their faces looked happy, or even indifferent, about this latest development, least of all Harrys.
