Sure, Diane said, and kissed Harry again. They lay together on the couch, enjoying the fire, slowly caressing each other. As they progressed, articles of clothing dropped to the floor. They touched each other gently, lovingly. Diane groaned when the bruise on her chest from her recent shooting incident ached. They slowly turned up the heat, and finally after half an hour of touching, kissing and nibbling, they made love on the couch. Afterward, Diane wrapped her arm around Harry and laid her head on Harrys chest. She listened to him breathing, listened to his heart beating. She loved the sound of his voice as heard through his chest. And she loved the smell of him, the way he felt in her arms.

Oh boy. Im in trouble, she whispered.

You can say that again, Harry answered.

When Diane woke the next morning, Harry was gone. There was fresh coffee was in the coffeemaker, and Diane jumped in the shower. She was halfway out the door when she realized she would have to face Danny at work in a short while. Oh boy. Trouble is right.
