| James W. Ellis - Born Feb. 8, 1827 in Virginia, and Died on Oct. 9, 1904 in Newton County, Arkansas. Was married to Sarah Ann Crump on Feb. 8, 1853. He was a member of Co. A, 43rd Virginia Cavalry. This group was also named "Mosby's Rangers", which was one of the most famous Ranger groups in the Civil War. The United States Ranger's of today still recognizes them today. |
