| John Carroll - born August 30, 1825 in Virginia and died August 17, 1895 in Carroll County, Arkansas. He is buried in the Eureka Springs IOOF Cemetery, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas His military history is inscribed on the back of his cemetery marker, which is about 5ft. tall. It states that he was a Major at the end of his Military career, but was a Captain in Co. E, 11 Regiment Cavalry, 8th Division, Missouri State Guard. |
