IN PERSONAL WORK:
As soon as one has excepted
Christ as their personal saviour, even as a young
christian
picks up a great desire to start telling other about
this Lord and reedeemer that has brought salvation
into their
life. And most likely be found telling their family
and friends the story of Jesus.
Personal work could very well be called individual
work to lead individuals to a saving knowledge of our
Lord Jesus
Christ. It is different because it is an individual
effort to lead an individual to Christ instead of
groups.
It is not just a high privilege, but it is an
obligation to tell the story to the unredeemed, and
attempt to lead
them to the saving knowledge of the Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ.
Christ in fact commands it as an
obligation: 15. And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be save;
Yes Jesus Says, 7. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water, Jesus said unto her, Give me to drink. 8. (For His disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9. Then saith the woman of Samaria unto Him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which I am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritians. 10. Jesus answered and said unto her, if thou kneweth the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water. 11. The woman saith unto Him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep, whence then hast thou that living water.
12. Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which
gave us the well, and drank thereof 13. Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Matthew 19:16 thru 22 16. And behlold, one came and said unto Him, Good master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life. 17. And He said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18. He saith unto Him, which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt no commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, 19. Honour thy father and thy mother: and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20. The young man saith unto Him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come follow me. 22. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. . Oh yes Jesus was a personal worker also and another time has set us the way that we are expected to follow in His His footsteps. The very nature of Christ's commands, demands personal work. All christians should be witnesses, Luke 24/46 thru 48 46. And He said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer. and to raise from the dead the third day: 47. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name amoung all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48. And ye are witnesses of these things. Who can and should do personal work: Every Christian has an influence and comes in contact with others, and have been saved by the Grace of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ will just naturally desire, and feel obligated to tell others the story of Jesus and His love. Just a small percent can speak in public, but all can be a witness. Just as soon as Andrew knew Christ, He told his brother Peter.
John 1:41 John 4:28 & 29 28. The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men. 29. Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ Where personal work can be done: Mark 5:19 19. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. Acts. 17: 17 17. Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him. Luke 24:32 32. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the script One must know Jesus Christ as his own personal Savior. Luke 22:32 32. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. One must Live a clean life:
11 Timothy 2:21
Acts 6:4
Romans 12:12
Yes prayer is one of the most effective christian
character building known to man. I have never known
or heard
of a spiritual giant that was not a man or woman of
prayer.
One must have a love for lost souls, and a desirer to
win them to Christ. For Christ so longed after the
lost He
wept over them..
One must know that Christ is able to save all kinds
of sinners:
There are many-many more things that a person need to
be a personal witness for Christ. The following list
is just
a few of them.
There remains so many more things that one needs And
truly needs to be an effective personal witness for
Christ,
in fact I feel to be effective that one must have the
following three Things, A person of pray,A person of
the
Bible,And a person of Love and compassion, A person
of prayer, and a person of faith. To any and all
those who
would be a personal witness for Christ- May God Bless
you.
