HiddeniteElementary SchoolStudent Council 2007-2008
The Hiddenite Elementary School Student Council is a 5th grade leadership enrichment opportunity to train future potental leaders. Three students from each 5th grade class are voted by their peers and screened by their teachers to represent their class. The 12 students will meet once a month during the afternoon school hours to help plan and carry out school wide emphasis items such as monitooring the hallways, selling pencils and erasers on Friday mornings, and brainstorming solutions to school problems. They need to be a good role model, occasionally help the principal and attend one of the remaining PTO meetings to possibly hand out papers. They may also work with the younger students some. Miriam Purser, one of our school counselors, is the sponser of this club.
