Caught Being Good
    
Teachers may award students they identify as exhibiting good manners, making a significant classroom contribution, following school/classroom rules, or engaging in other notable deeds.  Students who are awarded a "Caught Being Good" card will come to the office ro redeem their card for a small token gift.  Names of all Caught Being good students will be read over the intercom.

Citizen of the Month
   
The homeroom teacher will select one student per homeroom every month.  Students will be selected from among those in the class who have not broken classroom/school rules for that month.  Citizens of the Month students will be recognized and rewarded every two months and a group picture will be taken for the paper. In addition, a bulletin board in the hall will be used to display names and pictures of each month's citizens.

Bus Citizen of the Month
     Each month, a bus rider will be selected by their bus driver for Bus Citizen of the Month.  Bus Citizens of the Month will be recognized and rewarded every two months and a group picture will be taken for the paper. In addition, a bulletin board in the hall will be used to display names and pictures of each month's citizens.

Honor Roll/Star Student Trip
    An activity will be planned every nine weeks for students who have made the A or B Honor Roll or have been recognized as a Star Student.  A Star Student is selected by the classroom student because of their hard work and dedication. Activities will vary and might include a movie, a pizza party, a banana split party, or a free-time activity.

Highest Attendance
     One homeroom in K-2 and one homeroom in 3-5 with the highest percentage of attendance for each twenty-day school month will be given a banner to post on the door of the room to designate their room as the winner. 

Success Celebrations
   Teachers will recognize students in the classroom who have outstanding behavior.  Students must not have any office referrals, buddy (alternative) classroom referrals, bus referrals, and must maintain at least an S on their conduct grade on their report card.
