Computer Problems????????

Before reporting!
Experiencing strange problems?  Computer locked up completely?

RESTART YOUR COMPUTER!
If your computer will not restart or shut-down for some reason, turn the power off (but only as a last resort always try to shut-down properly if possible).  If for some reason you are unable to turn the machine off using power switch, remove the power cord supplying electric to the rear of t he computer.  Wait a few minutes, then replace the power cable.    Restart.

CHECK YOUR CABLES!
Make sure that there are no cables hanging loose.  ALL of the cables at the rear of your computer should be connected SOMEWHERE.  If there is a stray cable, thats probably your problem.  In most cases, the cables are color coded if its a red plug, plug it in the red hole.  If you have lost sound on your computer, most of the time its due to unplugged speakers.

CHECK THE POWER!
Make sure all of the power strips are TURNED ON.  Make sure all of the equipment is PLUGGED IN.
Sometimes equipment gets unplugged accidentally.  Most equipment has power indicator lights. Make sure theyre on.

CHECK THE MONITOR!
If the monitor is turned off, but the computer is turned on, it is easy to believe that the computer is dead.  Check the POWER CABLE that plugs into the rear of your monitor it can easily become loose or unplugged, causing a dead monitor.
Again look for the power indicator lights on the monitor.

MAKE SURE THE NETWORK HUB IS PLUGGED IN!
The mini-hub can easily become unplugged.  Lighted numbers should be flashing on the front of this hub.  If not, then the unit is unplugged.  The hub should be connected to every computer with a network cable that resembles a thick telephone cord.  One of these cables should be connecting the hub to a network jack on your wall.
