| If your child arrives late to school, please walk him/her to the office to sign in for a late arrival slip. Parents are discouraged from picking up students before 2:45 PM unless they are sick, have a medical/dental appointment, or other valid reasons. Students who leave school early an excessive number of times may be required to show an appointment card from doctor/dentist or necessary documentation to be dismissed early. Students will not be allowed to use the telephone to ask permission to go home with other children. Each child should know arrangements for getting home before they arrive at school. Written instructions should be sent to the teacher if arrangements have been changed from the normal daily routine. We understand that emergencies do occur. However, if it is necessary to change dismissal arrangements for you child, please send a written note to your child's teacher. To ensure the safety of our students, we do not accept phone calls to change your child's transportation. During school hours and especially at the end of the school day, children must be signed out in the office before being released from a teacher's classroom. Staff will not release a student until the office has notified the staff memeber supervising the child. Please do not enter classrooms or stand in the hallway near the end of the school day. These last few minutes in the classroom are a very important time of student/teacher communications on student responsibilities for homework and personal items (jacket, lunch box, etc.). This time whould not be used for a short, unannounced teacher conference. Teachers need this time to make sure each child leaves school in a safe and appropriate manner. The hallway is very crowded and we want to maintain a safe exit for out students with minimum disruption. |

| IT IS IMPORTANT THAT STUDENTS ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME... Staff are not available to supervise children prior to 7:45. Students arriving before 7:45 AM will need to enroll in the Before/After School Care Program, which runs from 6:00AM - 7:55 AM, and again from 2:45 PM - 6:00 PM. Information about our Before/After School Care Program can be obtained through the office. CAR RIDERS...will use the back entrance for drop off and pickup.Please be alert in the "car loading zone" and enter/exit at a safe, slow speed. SCHOOL BUSES...will use the front entrance for drop off and pickup. For the safety of our children riding buses, we do not allow children to be dropped off at the front of the school building during the hours of 7:45-8:15. Once dismissal has begun, children may not be signed out or taken from the bus line. STUDENT SAFETY MUST REMAIN A TOP PRIORITY FOR EVERYONE!
