Jeanette Zuydyk
During 6th grade, Jeanette moved to Virginia, where she still lives. She graduated from Mary Washington College and married her husband, Timo Puranen, who is originally from Finland. After nine years of working in advertising and promotion in Washington, D.C. at The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Jeanette decided to stay home with her children – Emma, born in December 1995, and Lucas, born in June 1998. They live in Fairfax, Virginia, where her husband works in information security. Jeanette's parents moved back to Europe in the early nineties and now live in Belgium (although they are originally from Holland).
