| "Should We Build a House on the Lake?" This question was posed to the class when we began our Environment unit. The students have been investigating the idea for several weeks now. Our class has been split into two groups; those who are for further development of Lake Wylie and those who are opposed. Both sides have gathered information to support their side of the argument. Each group was prepared to argue their case infront of our judge, Mrs. Cato. Our judge will make the ultimate decision. Wish us luck! |

| THE RESULTS ARE IN.... Judge Cato ruled in favor of the opposing side. She found the arguments from both sides to be thorough and justifiable. However, the environmental issues posed too large a problem for the community, and the decision was made to stop further development on the lake. The side that was in favor of the development submitted a list of laws that may persuade the judge to rethink her decision. For now, all further development will cease. |
