Concorde flight handbook
---------------------------------

Takeoff:- Trim neutral and add power slowly.
Hold with parking brake until about 70% thrust
V1 is 180kts, rotate at 200kts there are NO Flaps !
Raise gear with positive rate of climb and reduce power to 60% for climb
remember 250kt speed limit below 10,000 ft is not easy with this
          amount of power.

** Takeoff from Miegs is possible but make sure you had a light lunch ! **

Cruise:- climb to Above 45,000 at 500kts and level out, use Autopilot to hold altitude
then increase thust to 100% speed will increase to Mach 2.04
reduce power to 80% for cruise.

Decent:- Throttles back to 50% and decend at no more than 3000 fpm level off at
10,000 to reduce speed further to 250 kts.

Approach:- With Gear down (below 230kts!) increase power to about 45% to
maintain 220Kts and a decent rate of no more than 1000 fpm initially
again, use Autopilot for best results.

Landing:- Reduce speed gradually to Minimum 185 kts, nose high with lots of
          positive stick (trim is better)
Cut power over the threshold and do not flare too much or you'll be back
at 1000 ft before you finally stall !
Touchdown should be at around 175-180. Use reverse theust until speed
falls below 100 kts then brake to taxi speed.

** Landing at Miegs is possible but make sure the brake pads are new ! **

I have found that like the real world, it is easier to use Autopilot for the
duration of the flight. FS98 has a marvelous unit with Climb rate and speed hold
functions etc. so you only need to fly "Hands on" for takeoff and touch down
Just like the real thing !

* Please Note: FS98 Autopilot Speed hold only allows for up to Mach .99
so use manual throttle control for speeds above mach 1

Also, an anomoly (bug?) in Flightsim causes the autopilot altitude hold
to "Hunt" at heights above FL50. be prepared for some oscillation (usually +/- 50 ft) but
this has been minimised as much as is possible.
