Today is Monday, June 19. Harold jumped a rather significant hurdle this week thanks to the help of a family friend who took Harold fishing. Before Harold's accident, he was an avid fisherman, tying his own lures at his workbench in the basement of his home. Personally, I just never ever thought he'd ever be capable of fishing again. It's not that I didn't have hope, I just couldn't see it. Well, thanks to the help of a family friend (and of course an accumulation of all the help everyone has done these past months) Harold went fishing this past week and caught two trout and six blue gills! Wow! I don't even like killing the poor fish and I'm happy! They took them home, cooked them up and ate them, double Wow! What an accomplishment for Harold this was. Thank you so much everyone, all of your hard work and efforts have contributed to this triumph! I had a bit of a triumph myself this week as I spoke in Albany at the 18th annual convention of The National Brain Injury Association about the nonprofit organization I'm founding to aid coma and head injury victims and their families. The organization is coming together and should be in motion in the next few weeks. Blessings to you all.
