Today is Saturday, February 5. Harold remains about the same and had a good week at home. His
moods are a bit more stable in that he's not frustrated as easily. He has times when he's a
little down, but that's to be expected. I am leaving very early this morning to be with Harold
today and Sunday morning. Thank you for your continued prayers as Harold's wife, Joanne has
really got a lot on her shoulders right now. We are truly blessed by so many friends from the
community who are helping with Harold around-the-clock. It's a lot of responsibility for us all
right now. On top of all of that, our mother has not been well. This week she was told she has
an infection in her leg and that she's experiencing exhaustion. I'm trying to hold it all together
and often feel too far away up here in NYC. This morning I'm really trying to focus on all the
blessings in my life. I have a means of getting to PA, and that is a sure blessing. I will travel
cautiously and prayerfully. I can really feel the stress pulling at me today, but the blessings
far out-weigh the negatives. With all that's going on with my brother, then to hear my mother is
ill and to think of those children and how it must be affecting them, it's a lot. But
nothing we can't handle if we look above it all. Blessings to you all.
Today is Tuesday, February 1, 2000. Harold is back at home for a couple of weeks. While riding home from Bryn Mawr, Harold noticed they were getting closer to his house and told the driver, "Turn here" as they approached his hometown. Harold attended his church, Christiana Mennonite, on Sunday. He got tired toward the close of the service so asked to go home which was no problem. I did not make it down as planned on Sunday due to an ice storm that was in the forecast. I hope to travel there very soon. I will save all your e-mails and posts to read to him at a later date. I've added a link on my Links page about Maya who is a friend-of-a-friend. Please remember her family and her in prayer as well. Blessings to you all today. |
