Today is Wednesday, February 23. I'm here in Virginia with our mother until tomorrow morning, then
we'll head back to PA and from there I'll start out for NYC. Mother's health has greatly improved
since two weeks ago when she was diagnosed with a blood clot and exhaustion. Her doctor's
appointment went well and he was very pleased with her recovery. It looks like the blood clot has
broken up and the intense pain in her leg, along with the swelling, has pretty much subsided. Of
course that makes me feel much better as well. So we're all here with my aunt in the beautiful
Shenandoah Valley, relaxing and healing. I'll see Harold again tomorrow and visit with him for
awhile.
Today is Monday, February 21. I had a nice visit with Harold today. He enjoys talking about his different hobbies and even played guitar for me. He's really regaining a lot of himself, it just seems that he's still trying to make sense of it all. He's beginning to get antsy about being in the house all day long so certain members of the church or friends take him along with them on their chores and things. I honestly don't know what we'd do without all these folks pitching in. Harold's family has meals brought to them daily, help with the cleaning and help with Harold. All this helps ease the burden of what's happened tremendously. Thanks everyone! Also, there are several projects being planned as fund-raisers. I've been promised more details as they come in. Right now it looks like a spaghetti supper is one event (by the Christiana Methodist Church) and another event by the Christiana Lions Club which will be announced later. Harold was the President of the Lion's Club a couple years ago. That's the update for now. I'm now on vacation with my mother in Virginia, but I'll be updating this site in a day or so as we find more things out.
