Pride Day was today and I was invited to go with my friends Aaron and Jeremy. It's the first time I've ever gone to Pride. I'm wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a good experience. I've never seen so many gays and lesbians in one place before. It was nice to be around them, but I kind of felt out a little of place though. I got to see a little bit of the parade and that's where I started to understand how important this day is. There were so many things happening there that I was happy to be there to witness some of the things going on. All in all, it was a good experience nevertheless.
Being in the closet for so long and struggling with the confusion about my sexual identity and preference has built up so much energy within me that I don't know what to do with. It's quite scary and exciting at the same time. This is all new to me, but it's where my life seems to be heading. I'd like to thank my friends for that. Without their love and support none of this would have been possible. I still have so much more to learn and so much to understand that the road is gonna be a long one, but well worth it.
