Sheridan was sitting in her cottage, thinking of Luis. She wanted to thank Luis for saving her life. She had an idea. She ran to the phone and called her travel agent. After hanging up the phone, she drove to Luis' house. While driving she is thinking about the kiss they shared at the youth center. She was hesitant at first to kiss Luis, but she pulled him in for a kiss anyway. Suprisingly, Luis kissed her back and then they danced the tango. The rain started to pour and lightening stricked. Suddenly, a car came out of nowhere. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald could not stop thinking about Sheridan Crane. He had decided he needed to see her so he got in the car and took off. He was busy day dreaming about there kiss, and he did not see the car coming up ahead. Sheridan swerved to the right and crashed into a tree. Her head hit the steering wheel and she started to bleed. Luis stopped the car and ran towards the car. He opened the car door and he gasped. He saw Sheridan and realized she was unconscious. A thousand thoughts went through his mind. He quickly pulled Sheridan out of the car and he grabed his cell phone. He quickly dialed 911.
"Hello 911, what's your emergency" the operater asked.
"There has ... has been... a..a.. car accident... please..,hurry...we need ambulance...NOW.
"Calm down sir and tell me where you are."
"We are...at...at...Railroad Street...please hurry... Sheridan...needs help."
"Okay sir, we will send an ambulance shortly"
Luis dropped the cell phone and looked at Sheridan. Blood was gushing from her forehead. Luis softly whispered "You can't leave me now, Sheridan. Hold on you're gonna be ok.
Suddenly the sound of sirens were getting louder. Sheridan was taken by the paramedics and wheeled into the back of the ambulance. Luis wanted to go with Sheridan.
"Excuse me sir, you can't ride with us in the ambulance, unless you are relative"
Luis wanted desperately to be by Sheridan's side. He knew if he was with her she would feel his presence. He quickly thought about what to say.
"I am...her...her..finacee."
"Sorry sir, I didn't know"
Luis quickly jumped in the ambulance and they rushed to Harmony Hospital.

Luis looked at Sheridan lying unconscious in the hospital bed. He squeezed her hand and he said "Sheridan you're gonna be ok, I promise I will take care of you." He quickly left the room and went to call the Cranes and his family. He picked up the phone and dialed his mother, Pillar.
"Hello Lopez-Fitgerald residence"
"Hi Theresa, where's mama?"
"Luis, what's wrong?"
"Sheridan has been in car accident, I need you to call mama at the Crane Mansion and inform Julian and the rest of the family"
"Oh my god, is she ok?"
"I can't talk right now, just phone mama right away, bye"

Luis quickly rushed into Sheridan's room and looked at Sheridan. Eve Russell the doctor on call walked into the room. Luis looked up at Eve and said "Eve how is she?"
"Luis she suffered some major injuries, lost alot of blood. Her head injuries are quite damaging, because the blow to her head was severe."
"But she is going to make it right Dr. Russell."
"I can't say Luis, but we will be monitoring her around the clock. THe next 24 hours are crucial and we will know more by then."
"Thanks Dr. Russell. I have already informed mama, and the Cranes."
Dr. Russell left Luis alone with Sheridan and suddenly, Ethan, Gwen, Ivy and Pillar walked in.
Ethan said "What the hell happened to my aunt"
Luis answered "It was raining heavily and I didn't see her car coming, she swerved off the road and hit a tree."
"You did this to her, if she doesn't make it I am holding you responsible"
Suddenly, Julian walked in and said "What happened here?"
Ethan said "Sheridan was in a car accident and she is in critical condition."
Doctor Jenkins walked into the room and said "Sir, we have your finacee's CAT SCAN results"
Everyone starts at Luis and he responds
"Thank you doctor, what is the diagnosis?"
"Right now, Sheridan is experiencing what we call a traumatic coma. There is no telling how long she will be in the coma. However she has not suffered any permanent brain damage. We are quite hopeful that Sheridan will awaken soon."
"Thank you Dr. Jenkins"
Dr. Jenkins exits Sheridan's room and everyone looks at Luis. Ethan says "Why are they calling you Sheridan's fiancee. What's going on?"
"Listen Crane, I don't have time for this now, we can discuss this later."
A nurse walks in an says that visiting hours are over and only one family member can stay with Sheridan.
Ethan attempts to speak but Luis cuts him off and says to the nurse "I am her fiancee, I will stay the night."

Meanwhile, Sheridan is in a coma like state. She is walking towards a bright light. She sees her mother and she begins to move closer towards her. Her mother says "Sheridan it is not your time now. Go back, they need you."
"I want to be with you mother"
"No, Sheridan Luis needs you, he loves you."
Suddenly, Sheridan can hear Luis' voice and he says "Sheridan it's me, I am so sorry, please don't leave me. I need you, please Sheridan, I love you."

Suddenly, Sheridan can hear Luis' voice and he says "Sheridan it's me, I am so sorry, please don't leave me. I need you, please Sheridan, I love you."
Sheridan walked towards the light and Luis' voice faded away. Luis squeezed Sheridan's hand and suddenly the monitor went blank.
The machine beeped and Luis panicked. He yelled "Somebody help me, doctor come here quick."
Two nurses and Dr. Jenkins walked in.
"We have a code blue, stat. We need 250 cc's" Luis stepped back and watched in horror as Sheridan's lifeless body jerked up.
"Nurse she's not responding, we need to elevate 300 cc's" As Sheridan's body jerked up again, Luis cried. Tears ran down his cheeks and he yelled "Come on Sheridan, I need you, don't leave me."
Sheridan continued to walk toward the light. She moved in closer and closer.
Suddenly, Luis' voice grew louder and Sheridan heard his cries. She turned away from the light and started to walk back.
The doctor said "We have a pulse."
A sense of relief washed over Luis.
He sits down in the chair next to Sheridan's bed. He whispers in Sheridan's ear "I love you and i'll always love you." As he spoke, Sheridan's grasp on Luis' hand strengthened.
Suddenly, Sheridan's eyes fluttered open. She looked at Luis and smiled. "I love you too, Luis."

"I can't believe it you're awake. I almost lost you."
"I heard you voice Luis, do you really mean what you said about needing me?"
"Of course, when I realized how close I was to losing you, I felt so empty and I realized how much I love you."
"Oh Luis, I have been waiting to hear you say those words." Sheridan starts laughing.
"What's so funny?" Luis asks.
"Well, I had a dream about us together."
"Really?"
"In my dream you told me you loved me and wanted me."
"Sheridan how are you feeling?"
"I really don't remember what happened. All I remember is that I was driving to your house to see you. Then I saw a bright light and heard your voice."
"Shh, you need your rest. We can talk later. Just close your eyes and get some sleep."
Luis stands up and gently brushes his lips against hers and kisses her softly.
She smiles and drifts off to sleep. Luis informed Dr. jenkins of Sheridan's condition. Then he rushed off to call Pillar and the Cranes.

A few hours later Ethan, Julian, Ivy and Gwen where in Sheridan's room.
Julian Crane looked irritated and said in a sarcastic tone "So when the big day"
"Excuse me, Julian"
"You are getting married aren't you?"
"What are you talking about Julian"
Ethan gives his father an angry glance and says "Father this isn't the time nor the place."
Sheridan looks at Julian and he just smiles. Then she says "Can somebody please tell me what's going on here."
Ethan looks at Sheridan and says "Luis told the doctors that.. he.. he was... your..finacee."

Sheridan just smiled and remembered when Luis told her she loved him.
Before responding she though of what to say to Ethan. She had made reservations with the travel agent to go to spain with Luis. So maybe they could get married. Whoa! Sheridan thought. Did I just say marry Luis. She started to think about having kids with Luis and living a normal life. "Ethan, why do you sound so shocked"
"So then it's true." Ethan said.
"No, we are not engaged, he probably just said that so he could ride in the ambulance with me."
"Oh" Ethan said with a sign of relief.
Ethan and Julian said there goodbyes to Sheridan and left. Ivy and Gwen stayed with Sheridan and they could not help noticing Sheridan's smile.
"So tell us what happened between you and Luis" Gwen asked.
"Come on Sheridan tell us" Ivy begged.
"Well..." Sheridan began
"Luis and I are in love"
"Oh my god!" Gwen and Ivy said in unison.

Luis had just gone home to shower and change. He decided it was best he go home for awhile since he hadn't eaten or showered. He also knew that Sheridan needed so time alone with her family. He could not stop thinking about Sheridan and how much he wanted to see her.
Suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door. Luis finished dressing and went to answer the door. He turned the doorknob and stared at Hank, who was just standing there.
"Hi Luis, how's it going buddy?"
"Hi Hank"
Luis had completely forgotten about Hank. How was he going to tell Hank that he was in love with Sheridan and that Sheridan was in love with him. He decided he wouldn't say until he talked to Sheridan first.
"I'm alright, but Sheridan is in the hospital"
A look of panic crossed Hank's face.
"Oh my god, what happened Luis is she ok."
"Yes Hank she is fine, calm done."
"What happened Luis?" Hank asked.
"It is a long story so I think you should sit down."

Back at the hospital, Ivy and Gwen were talking with Sheridan about Luis.
The hospital room door opened and in walked Hank and Luis. Sheridan looked surprised because she forgot all about Hank. What was she going to do or say to Hank. She looked at Luis and he knew what Sheridan was thinking.
"Hi Hank"
"Hi Sheridan I brought you some flowers"
"Thanks Hank"
"How are you feeling Sheridan?" Hank asked.
"I am feeling alot better" Sheridan answered.
Ivy and Gwen left the room and Hank squeezed Sheridan's hand.
"I am glad nothing happened. I really have to get going, but I will talk to you soon, Sheridan."
He got up and left Sheridan and Luis alone.
"Hi Luis, I missed you"
"I missed you too, Sheridan"
He leaned forward and kissed her softly. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer towards her.
Suddenly Hank walked in.
"Hey Sheri..."
Luis broke off the kiss and looked at Sheridan.

Hank's jaw dropped and he stared at Sheridan and Luis. He never though his best buddy would stab him in the back.
He rushed out the room.
"Luis go after him" Sheridan said.
Luis gives her a quick kiss on the lips and runs out after Hank.
He finds Hank outside and he taps him on the shoulder.
"How could you Luis, you're supposed to be my best friend."
Luis answered "I didn't mean to hurt you, Hank it just happened."
Suddenly, Hank took a swing at Luis and he made contact with his jaw.
Luis tries to grab Hank by the shoulders but he continues to swing. Sam Bennet the police chief had just finished his shift when he saw a fight break out. He run towards the two man and saw that it was Luis and Hank.
"Come on guys stop it" Sam yelled.
Suddenly Hank grabs Sam's gun for his holster.
He aims it as Luis. Luis looks at Sam who is bewildered.
"Out of all the women in Harmony, why here, why my Sheridan?"
"Hank just calm done everything's gonna be ok." Sma said.
"Don't do this Hank think of Sheridan." Luis said.
"Weren't you happy with Beth, you said you didn't have feelings for her, you liar." Hank yelled.
Hank's index finger pulled the clip down and aimed the gun at Luis. Hank pulled the trigger and fired two shots at Luis' chest.

Hank drops the gun and his hands were trembling. He had just shot his best friend Luis. Luis eyes fluttered open.
"There appears to be no bleeding" Luis says.

"What were you thinking Hank, you could have killed Luis."
"I...was...I..Oh my God.." Hank said.
Sam placed the handcuffs around his brother's wrists.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand your rights?" Sam asked.
Hank simply nodded. Luis got up and stared at Hank. He couldn't believe his best friend was capable of murder. Hank gets into the back of Sam's police car and Sam closes the door. As they drive away, Luis is relieved and happy to be alive. He runs into the hospital to tell Sheridan the news. Luis walks into Sheridan's room.
"What's wrong Luis, you look like you have seen a ghost."
"Hank tried to kill me he fired two shots to my chest. Luckily he only fired blanks."
"Oh my God, Luis are you ok?" Sheridan asks.
"I am fine, just a little shook up."
"Let's forget about the whole thing Sheridan. You know I realized something while Hank pointed a gun at me. That I would never be able to see you again.
My whole life flashed before my very eyes and the only thing I kept thinking was how mcuh I love you."
"Luis what are you saying."
"Sheridan what I am trying to say is will you marry me?"

"Luis what are you saying."

"Luis I don't know what to say."
"Sheridan I know this is kind of sudden but I love you and when Hank pointed the gun to my chest I realized that if I died I would never be able to hold you in my arms or kiss you ever again."
Sheridan was so touched that tears trickled down her cheeks. "Oh Luis, of course I will marry you"
Sheridan pulled Luis in for a passionate kiss. Luis wrapped his arms around Sheridan's waist and pulled her closer.
Sheridan broke off the kiss and said "Luis I hate to have to stop kissing you, but when am I going to get out of this hospital?"
"Oh I almost forget to tell you that Doctor Jenkins said that you can be released from the hospital today."
"That's great, we can go to my cottage and start packing."
"Packing???"
"Yes, we are going to Spain."
"Spain? You're kidding right"
"No, we are going to spend our honeymoon there"
"Our honeymoon? Whoa! Sheridan we just got engaged and now you want to elope."
"Luis, my family will never approve of this marriage and besides I already booked us a flight to Spain a few days ago."
"Ok Sheridan lets get married"
"I will just call Theresa and tell her and the family not to worry. Then we will sign your release papers and we will stop by your cottage to pack."
Luis kissed Sheridan quickly on the lips and ran off to call Theresa.
Luis picked up the pay phone and dialed his home number.
"Hello, Lopez-Fitzgerald Residence, Theresa speaking"
"Hi Theresa it's me Luis I am going to be gone for a couple of days, so don't worry about me. Give Miguel and Mama my love, bye"
"Whoa Luis! What did you just say? Where are you going?"
"To Spain with Sheridan it will only be for a few days"
"Luis what are you up to?"
"Nothing Theresa, just tell Miguel and Mama I love them, bye" "Bye Luis"
He hang up the phone and went to sign the release papers. Sheridan grabbed his hand and they headed to Luis' car.
"So Luis what did you tell your family?"
"Oh nothing much, just that I was going to Spain for a few days with you"
"Ok, as long as you didn't tell Theresa anymore more than that."
"I didn't I swear. Come on let's get moving we have a plane to catch. What time is our flight leave anyway?" "In two hours, its flight 365 to Spain departing at Gate 3 at 8:00pm"
Sheridan said.

Back at the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence Theresa was telling Miguel and Pillar the news about Luis' plans.
"Oh my God Theresa, are you sure you heard correctly."
"Yes mama, Luis said he was going to Spain with Sheridan for a few days."
"Theresa I get the feeling that those two are up to something."

Two hours later:
The announcer said
"Flight 365 to Spain is now boarding passengers from rows 1-12"
"Come on Luis, that's us" Sheridan said
"Do we have everything?"
"Yes, Luis I have enough clothes and we will have to buy you some clothes in Spain."
"Ok, then lets get going"
Luis and Sheridan walked hand in hand while they boarded the plane.
They quickly found there seats and buckled up there seat belts.
Twenty minutes later the plane started to move. The engines roared and the plane slowly moved down the runway. It geared up and it took off. Once they were in the air Sheridan turned to Luis and said "Maybe we should call your family and let them know we are getting married."
"But Sheridan you said you didn't want to tell anyone."
"I know Luis, but I am sure you're family would approve of us getting married."
"We will call them once we get in Spain, but ..."
Just then the plane started to rock back and forth.
"Luis what's going on."
"Don't worry Sheridan its just some minor turbulance."
The plane shook violently and the oxygen masks dropped.
"Oh my god! Luis where not going to make it"
"Yes we are Sheridan everything is going to be alright."
Luis and Sheridan placed the oxygen masks over there mouths. Suddenly, the pilot's voice came on.
"Folks, this is your captain speaking. We seem to be experiencing some engine difficulties. Please remain calm and stay in your seats."
Everyone abroad the plane started to panic and scream. Children were crying and everyone was distraught. The lights of the plane went off and Luis and Sheridan sat in silence.
Then Sheridan said to Luis
"I love you Luis"

Suddenly, the plane's lights flickered on. Luis turns to Sheridan and says "See I told you everything was ok."
"I guess were cursed."
"What do you mean?"
"Think about it Luis, first I get into a car accident and almost die. Then, Hank tries to kill you and now the plane almost crushed."
"But Sheridan those are just coincedences."
"Sure Luis" Sheridan says while rolling my eyes.

As the plane's wheels hit the runaway Sheridan squeezed Luis' hand. The pilot's voice came on and he said:
"Thank you for flying with Simpson Airlines. We hope you enjoyed your flight. The temperature in Spain is currently 25 degrees celcius. We hope you have enjoyed flying Simpson Airlines and we hope to see you soon."
Sheridan exited the plane holding Luis' plane. As they waited for there luggage to arrive Sheridan said "Where are we staying Sheridan?"
"We are staying at Buenos Nochas et hotel"
"Let's take a taxi cab to the hotel so we can check in."

Once they arrived at the hotel, they walked in and headed towards the reception desk. Luis rang the bell and seconds later the manager appeared.
"Hello Madame, Sir how may I help you"
"We need a honeymoon suite." Sheridan said.
"One moment please I will check my computer. Ah yes, we have one room available honeymoon suite 1209."
"Great will take it"
Sheridan grabbed her lugguage. The manager said "Madame, the bellboy will take those up for you."
"Thank you"
As Sheridan and Luis waited for the elevator to arrive they thought about all that had happened that week.
They entered the elevator and pressed 12. The elevator doors closed and then Luis and Sheridan were silent. Suddenly, the elevators stops and Sheridan topples over Luis.
"Luis what happened?"
"Sheridan the elevator stopped."
"Luis...(breathing heavily)...I..am....clau..strophobic."
"Sheridan calm down, I am right here."

Sheridan remembers being a little girl, her hands covered in blood. The bloody sheet covering the unknown body, hiding its identity. Sheridan screams "I didn't mean to do it."
Alister's voice says "You're a bad girl Sheridan, no one must ever known. Or they will never love you."
"No, I didn't mean to do it, you have to believe me."
"Sheridan what didn't you mean to do it."
Sheridan started breathing heavily and Luis was getting extremely worried.
"I didn't kill anyone." Sheridan said
"Sheridan what did you say?"

"Sheridan what did you say?"
Suddenly, the elevator started to move. Once they reached the 12th floor the elevator doors opened. Luis helped Sheridan get to there room. They inserted the card into the slot and Luis opened the door.
"Luis I think we should talk about what happened. I think it's time you learned the truth."
"What are you talking about?"
"Remember in Santa Fe I told you that I had been suffering from childhood nightmares."
"Yes, I remember"
"Well they aren't really nightmares. I mean I am not sure if the events in my nightmare occured or not."
"Sheridan what do you remember?"
"I was seven years old and I remember being in the living room. I heard someone approaching. I grabbed the letter opener and hid in the corner. The rest is pretty much a blur. Oh Luis, after that I remember seeing my hands covered with blood and a bloody sheet covering a buddy."
Sheridan collapsed in Luis' arms and started to cry.
"Sheridan I am sure its just a nightmare, you are capable of murder you are not that kind of person."
"What if I am a muderess, I mean what if I killed someone that night?"
"Sheridan you are overracting."
"Do you still love me Luis?"
"Of course I love you Sheridan no matter what happened that night."
"Sheridan I think you should lie down and get some sleep."
"But Luis I thought we were going to get married."
"Sheridan you're exhausted we have had a rough day. We will get married tomorrow morning. No get some sleep. He kissed Sheridan on the lips gently and then she lay on the bed. She closed her eyes and instantly fell asleep. Luis decided he should call home and inform the family that everything was ok. He picked up the phone and called Theresa. He explained to Theresa that everything was fine. He told them he was getting married to Sheridan in the morning and where they were staying. After the telephone conversation he lay down next to Sheridan. He wrapped his arms around her waist and feel asleep cuddled up to his fiancee.

Meanwhile back at the Crane Mansion, Julian was furious that Sheridan was in Spain with Luis. He called the Buenos Nochas hotel and asked whether or not his sister was staying at that hotel. The manager answered "Yes Mr. Crane they are staying in the honeymoon suite."
"Honeymoon Suite, are you sure?"
"Positive Mr. Crane they checked in early today."
After hanging up Julian informed his father Alistair of the news and decided to fly to Spain in the Crane family jet.

The following morning Sheridan and Luis drove to the wedding chapel. They had already gotten there marriage license and were waiting for the minister to arrive. The minister walked through the door and the wedding march started to play.

A plane arrived unexpectedly at the Spain International Airport. As the plane doors opened. An elderly man stepped out of the plane and looked at the younger gentlemen who was now carrying his baggage.
"Hello Mr. Crane it is so good to see you again. You haven't been in Spain in awhile. What kind of business brings you to these parts sir?"
Mr. Crane turned to the young gentlemen and said "Well as a matter of fact, I am hear to stop my daughter's wedding."

Sheridan and Luis walked down the aisle together and once they approached the alter they smiled. The wedding music stopped and the minister turned to face Sheridan and Luis.
The minister said "You cannot get married without a witness."
"Oh Luis, I completely forgot, what are we going to do."
Suddenly, Pillar walked in and said "Luis, Sheridan thank god I found you two."
"Mama, what are you doing here?"
"I took the first flight to Spain late last night, after Theresa told me the news. What's a matter with you two, why did you run off to Spain to elope?"
"Listen Pillar, it was my idea. I mean Julian and my father would never approve of me marrying your son and I love him so much. I wanted to get married and since I had booked two tickets to Spain a few days ago, I asked Luis if he would elope with me."
"Sheridan, you can't get married here you should have a nice wedding in Harmony with all your friends and family."
"That does sound nice, but..."
"But nothing, come on let's go home so we can start planning this wedding."

Alistair Crane entered the Bueno Nochas hotel and rang the bell. I believe my daughter Sheridan Crane has checked into this hotel. Could you please give me her room number."
"I am sorry sir, but Ms. Crane checked out two hours ago." "Thank you."
Alistair Crane called his son on his cell phone. "Julian where are you?"
"Father I am in Spain like you told me. You said you wanted me to stop Sheridan and Luis from getting married."
"You idiot they checked out of the Buenos Nochas hotel two hours ago"
"Father I have just arrived here in Spain surely you don't want me to fly back to Harmony."
"Do it Julian, I cannot have my daughter marrying the housekeeper's son. She is a Crane she should marry a rich man. You have really screwed up this time Julian. They are probably married by now."
"Father you are overreacting. I will take care of everything, I promise."
"Just do it Julian, and don't screw up. I cannot afford to have another incident occur."

Meanwhile Pillar, Sheridan and Luis were on a plane home to Harmony.
Sheridan turned to Luis and said "Won't it be nice to get married at Church in front of all our friends and family."
"Yes, Sheridan if that's what you want. I love you so much I just want you to be happy."
He cupped Sheridan's face and pulled her in for a long and passionate kiss.
They almost forgot that Pillar was sitting next to them. Sheridan broke of the kiss and blushed.

Several hours later, a cab pulled up in front of the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence. Pillar stepped out of the cab. Followed by Sheridan and Luis holding hands.
"It's great to be home" Luis says.
"It sure is." Sheridan says.
Pillar opened the door and then she turned the lights.
Suddenly she heard everyone shout "Surprise Congratulations."

Everyone yelled "Suprise Congratulations"
Sheridan and Luis starred at everyone who had attended there surprise party.
Theresa who was beaming with joy turned to Luis and said "Hey guys congratulations, I guess your my new sister in law."
"Wait a minute you guys thought...ha..hs.." Sheridan cracked up and Luis startled to giggle. Everyone looked puzzled as Sheridan and Luis continued to laugh. Finally, Luis said
"We didn't get married, yet. Mama stopped us and she gave us some advice. We are still getting married, but it is going to be here in Harmony in front of all our friends and family."
"That's great Luis" Miguel said "We are all really happy for the two of you." Charity said.
"When are you gonna get married?" Sam asked.
Sheridan looked at Luis, they hadn't set a date yet.
"Well we haven't really thought about it. How about next week."
"One week to get a wedding organized this is going to take alot of work." Ivy said.

As the week came to a close all the preparations for were in order. They had booked the church and Father Lungan was thrilled. Luis has asked Miguel to be his best man and Sheridan had chosen Gwen to be her maid of honour. Ethan would give Sheridan and away at the wedding and Theresa, Charity were the bridesmaids while Sam and T.C. were ushers.

Sheridan arrived at the church and was getting ready with the help of Theresa, Gwen and Ivy.
"How does my hair look? Do you like this dress? I can't believe I am getting married in less than 20 minutes. I can still remember the first day we meet.

Meanwhile, in the other room of the church Luis, Sam and Ethan were helping Luis get ready.
"I can't believe I am marrying Sheridan. Me and a Crane wow! I still remember the first time we kissed."

Sheridan and Luis had just finished looking for clues in the Crane Mansion. Suddenly, Sheridan pulled Luis into a kiss. He kissed her back and put his hands on her waist. The kiss laster for a few minutes. When they had finished kissing, Luis turned to Sheridan and said "Ms. Crane were you hitting on me?"
"Why yes Officer Lopez-Fitzgerald I was."

The wedding march began to play. Sam and Ivy walked down the aisle followed by Miguel and Charity and then Theresa walked down the aisle. Gwen who was the maid of honor followed. Then the bridal march began to play. Everyone in the church stood up and they focused on Sheridan. Ethan led Sheridan down the aisle and everyone admired Sheridan's beautiful white beaded gown. Luis looked at Sheridan and everyone else in the room disappeared. He smiled at Sheridan and admired her radiant beauty.

Father Longan said "Who gives the women away" Ethan responded "I do" Sheridan finally took Luis' arm and they faced Father Longan, who began to speak "We are gathered here today to join this man and woman in holy matrimony.
Luis and Sheridan have written there own vows and would like to share them will all of you."
Luis started "Sheridan the first time I met you I know we were meant for each other. I have loved you since the experience we shared in Santa Fe. When I am with you, it feels like the whole world has vanished and it is just you and me.
When you said yes to my proposal you made me the happiest man in the world.

Sheridan eyes welled up and tears ran down her cheeks.
She turned to Luis and said her vows.
"Luis I have never experienced true love. When I am with you you make we whole and complete. Your my soul mate the man of my dreams. You fill my life with a never-ending joy and my love for you grows stronger with each passing day. I promise to love you, stand beside you through the good times and bad for all the days of our lives."

"Wait do you mean, you assurred me it was just a dream."

"Oh my God" Sheridan said. She began to cry and everything was shocked. Luis looked at Sheridan and then turned to Alistair and said.
"Sheridan is not a muderess. She is a kind and loving person and she would never hurt anyone."
"Luis I think you should know the truth before you get married to my daughter."
"And what might that be Mr. Crane."
"That Sheridan killed your father, Martin Lopez-Fitzgerald."
"What!!"
"You heard me, the woman you love murdered your father."

"Sheridan never killed me father and why are you trying to destroy our happiness Mr. Crane?" Luis asked.
"Sheridan killed your father over twenty years ago and we buried the evidence. I just thought you would like to know, Mr. Lopez Fitzgerald."
Everyone in the church was chatting about what Alistair had just told Luis.
Sheridan was panicking and she knew that Luis would not want to marry her after what her father said.
Suddenly, Sheridan ran down the aisle. She pushed open the church doors and stepped outside into the cold air.
Luis will never love me now she thought.
Meanwhile back in the church, Luis had pushed Alistair aside and ran after Sheridan.
"Sheridan don't go" Luis yelled.
He ran to the church doors and opened them. He stepped outside and noticed Sheridan crying on a park bench. He ran over to her and said.
"Why are you crying Sheridan?"
"Because...you..don't..love me any..more" She sobbbed.
"Of course I love you with all my heart."
"No you don't, not after what my father told you."
"Sheridan you already told me about those nightmares. You didn't lie to me and deep down inside I know that you did not kill anyone."
"But what about what my father said to you."
"He is just trying to ruin our happiness. I want you to be my wife. So what do you say will you marry me?"
"Oh Luis of course I will."
She grabbbed Luis and pulled him in for a long kiss.
"I love you so much Luis."
"I love you too, Sheridan."
"What a minute Sheridan."
"What is it Luis" Sheridan said in between kisses.
"I am not supposed to kiss the bride yet because we aren't man and wife."
"Okay Luis no more kisses until we get married." She played hit him on the arm.
"Well, we can make up our own wedding rules, can't we?" Luis asked waiting for Sheridan's response.
"I suppose we could, but I have always stuck with traditions. Now come on, we have to get married now." Sheridan said grabbing Luis by the arm and pulling him off the bench.

They ran back into the church. Everyone starred at Sheridan and Luis as they walked up the aisle.
"Father either you accept this marriage and stay or you leave. It's you choice, but whatever you decide won't matter to me because I am going to marry Luis."
"Then I am leaving." With that Alistair Crane walked out of the church and Sheridan and Luis turned to Father Longan.
"Father Longan, please continue with the ceremony. We are both ready." Sheridan said.
"Very well. Do you Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald take this woman Sheridan Crane to be your lawful wedded wife. To love and to cherish, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live."
Luis looked at Sheridan she was crying, but this time they were cheers of joy. He smiled and said "I do, with all my heart."
Pillar and Ivy started to cry and even some of the other guests were in tears.
"Sheridan Crane do you take Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald do be your lawful wedded husband. To love and to cherish, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live."
Sheridan turned to Luis and said "I do."
"May we have the rings" Father Longan said.
Luis took his ring for Sheridan from Miguel and Sheridan took her ring for Luis from Gwen.
"Now Luis you may place the ring on Sheridan's finger and repeat after me.

Luis gently placed a beautiful solid gold band with one solitare on Sheridan's ring finger and said

Luis pulled back Sheridan's veil and cupped her face. He pulled her in and they kissed for a few moments. Everyone in the cheer clapped and cheered.

"I love you Ms. Lopez-Fitzgerald"

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald"
Everyone clapped and few of the guests cried as Luis and Sheridan, who were now man and wife walked down the aisle hand in hand.
What the newlyweds did not notice was a person hiding at the back of the church who was watching there everymove.

Everyone was seated in the beautiful hall that Sheridan and Luis had selected for their wedding reception. Things couldn't be better for the newlyweds. They were laughing and talking to the guests. Sheridan and Luis were happier than they had ever been. Suddenly, the DJ said:

Everyone clapped and cheered as Sheridan and Luis made their way onto the dance floor. The music started to play softly and they swayed to the sound of the music.

Then suddenly, the light went out. Sheridan pulled apart from Luis and stood in the dark. Everyone was shouting and wondering what was happening. After what seemed like hours, the lights finally flickered on. However, Sheridan was missing. She wasn't there anymore.
Luis looked around and Sheridan was no were in sight.
"Sheridan, where are you? Sheridan..."

"Sheridan, Sheridan where are you?" Luis yelled.
Everyone was looking for Sheridan, but she was no where to be found.
Luis ran out of the reception hall and found Sheridan's veil lying on the floor. A hundred thoughts started running through his head. She couldn't have just left me, she loves me, she seemed so happy. Something must have happened because Sheridan would never leave me he thought. He started to panic and ran back inside to the reception hall. He decided that he would have to put his fears aside and figure out who took Sheridan. He ran to the DJ's playing booth and took the microphone and said "Everyone please listen to me. Sheridan has been kidnapped. I need to gather a search party that will help me split up around town. The only clue I found was Sheridan's veil.(he held up the veil, so that everyone could see it)."
"Sure Luis, we will all help." Sam said.
A few hours later, Luis and Sam were driving around in one of their patrol cars in search of Sheridan. Luis looked at his watch and it read 12:23 am.
He realized that at that moment Sheridan could have been on a plane with him to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Luis looked out the window and thought, where are you Sheridan?

Meanwhile in a cold and dark room, Sheridan was emerging from unconsciousness. She squinted her eyes to adjust to the dimness. She looked around and did not recognize where she was. She noticed her hands and legs were tied with a thick rope to a chair. Her mouth was taped shut and the room had a dingy ador. She thought long and hard about what had happened.
Then she vaguely remembered dancing with Luis. Dancing to the song they had chosen for their first dance as man and wife. They were so happy then. She also remembered the lights going off. She had pulled back from Luis and then one strong hand gripped her mouth. The person pushed her out of the banquet hall and into the hallway. She tried to kick the person but the person was too strong. Her veil feel off and the person dragged her outside into the cold night air. The person took a needle and injected Sheridan. She tried to scream, but nothing came out. The rest was a blur since she had been drugged.

Suddenly, a person emerged from the shadows and starred at Sheridan.
Sheridan tried to look at the person's face but the person's face was concealed by a mask.
"I hate you Sheridan. You are not going to escape."
Sheridan's eyes bulged because she instantly recognized the voice.
"Don't worry Sheridan, I won't hurt you as long as you cooperate."
The person stepped closer towards Sheridan and Sheridan could see the sharp knife the person was holding.
"This won't hurt a bit."

"I hope you're right Sam. Hey Sam I am really tired. Let's stop at the Book cafe for a coffee."
"Alright Luis."

Sheridan tried to shift her body but she couldn't move.
"No one will ever find you here."
The person moved a few more inches towards Sheridan and continued to hold the knife.
"You had to marry Luis didn't you? Well you'll pay for that. Luis isn't here to save you know Sheridan and besides he won't care if you die."

Sam parked the car and Luis stepped out of the car and into the cold night air. Luis pulled upon the door and stepped inside. There were only a few people drinking coffee and listening to music. "Hey Luis, how are you?"
"Not to good Chad, I mean Sheridan and I got married, but someone kidnapped her."
"Man, that's a shame. So what can I get you."
"Two coffees to go, please."
"Coming right up. Yo, how to take your coffee?"
"Black, two sugars and the same goes for the other coffee. Hey Chad where's Beth?"
"Oh, I don't know, she told me she had business to take care of."
Suddenly, there was a loud bang. It seemed to be coming from downstairs.
"What was that?" Chad asked.
"I think it came from downstairs, I am going to go check it out."

He needed to find her, he couldn't live with her, not now and not ever.

Meanwhile, back in a dark and cold room, Sheridan's kidnapper was yelling at Sheridan.
"You'll pay for making that noise. Some one could have heard you and then you would have to die."
"mmmm" Sheridan tried to escape, but here hands and feet were tied up really tight.
As the kidnapper approached closer and closer, Sheridan's eyes bulged as she realized what this person was capable of doing to her.

Luis asked Chad where the key for the basement door was and he pointed to the rack of keys that Beth kept behind the counter. He looked for the basement key and found it hidden underneath the pile of keys. He approached the door once again and said "I'd better go downstairs just to make sure that nothing happened."
He placed the key into the lock and turned the key. He grabbed the door knob and opened the door slowly. The basement was cold and damp. He walked slowly down the stairs.
"Somebody's coming downstairs." Sheridan's kidnapper said.
As Luis approached the last few steps he gasped in horror.
Standing in front of him holding a knife to Sheridan's throat was Beth.

"Beth I never though you could be capable of murder. Please don't do this to Sheridan let her go.." Luis pleaded.
"Why should I? She took you from me. I always wanted to be your wife and in a few months she has taken you away from me."
"Beth, we haven't been together for years. I don't love you, I love Sheridan and you doing this..won't change my mind about my love for Sher.."
"Shut up" Beth yelled. "Just shut up. I don't want to hear about your love for Sheridan say you love me or else I will hurt her."
"Noooooo" Luis screamed. "Don't hurt Sheridan, please let her go"
"I can't Luis, I have to kill her so you can be with me forever."
Suddenly, Sheridan kicked beth in the stomach and the knife hit the floor with a bang. Luis rushed over to Beth and held her down. He grabbed his handcuffs and handcuffed Beth.
"You're under arrest Beth."
"No, please Luis don't do this to me, please" Beth pleaded.
"I am sorry but you commited a crime and now you have to pay the price."
As Beth layed on the floor handcuffed, Luis pulled Sheridan into his arms and held her tight.
"I almost lost you Sheridan. I love you and when we get out of here we are going to start our new life, together."
"Oh Luis" Sheridan was crying as she pulled Luis in closer for a kiss.
They kissed passionately as if they hadn't kissed for years. They broke off the kiss and held each other. Luis rubbed Sheridan's back and kissed her forehead softly, while whispering tender loving words in her ear.
Eventually, Beth was taken to jail and charged for attempted murder and kidnapping.
Once Sheridan and Luis reached the cottage Sheridan stepped inside and sighed.
"Oh Luis, it feels so good to be in your arms again."
"That's how it will always be from now on."
Sheridan pulled Luis in for a tender kiss.

Meanwhile, a shadow lurked outside Sheridan's bedroom window watching the couple sleep soundly.

Sheridan and Luis stayed in each others arms all through the night. Sheridan awoke as the sun streamed through the curtains. She felt so good lying in Luis' arms. She turned to face Luis, who was sound a sleep. His face looked peaceful and relaxed and he had a big smile on his face. Sheridan ran her fingers through his hair gently. Luis eyes suddenly fluttered opened and he stared lovingly at his wife.
"Hi sleepyhead" Sheridan said
"Hi Sheridan mmmm I can't believe you're my wife."
"I can't believe we got married, but it feels so good lying here beside you."
"I know it does."
Sheridan and Luis kissed passionately.
"Luis make love to me now"
"I though you'd never ask."
Luis and Sheridan continued to kiss harder. They explored each other's mouths and kissed hungerily. Luis started to unbutton Sheridan's blouse. As they continued their love making, nothing seemed like anything could go wrong at this moment in time. It felt like time had stopped and that it was just them together and deeply in love.

Meanwhile back in the Crane Mansion, Julian was talking to his father Alistair Crane.
"Father we can't allow Sheridan to be married to that cop."
"I agree Julian, she is the weakling we must get rid of Luis."
"Father what do you mean by get rid of?"
"Julian, what do you think I mean. We have to kill Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and get rid of him for good. There is no other way."
Julian walked to his desk and opened the top drawer. He pulled out his gun and loaded it with bullets. He clicked the clip into place and starred at his father.
"You're right father, we must get rid of Luis permanently."
"But how do we kill him."
"Julian, leave the details to me."
"Alright father."
"And Julian, don't mess this up, we cannot afford to have Luis discover the truth and have the Cranes ruined."
"I know father, don't worry Luis will not survive."

Luis held Sheridan in his arms tightly. They had just made passionate love for the first time. Luis stroked Sheridan's back as she lay in his arms sound asleep. He looked at her face and he noticed that she was smiling. He was cotent now that he had finally made love to the woman he loved. It seemed like it had taken them forever to get to this moment. Everything was going to be okay now that they were married.

Sheridan opened her eyes and noticed Luis starring at her attentively.
"Hey you" Luis said.
"Mmm I love waking up in your arms. Making love was so special and I never want to let you go."
"You want have to because I will always be with you."
"I am glad we are spending our first day together here in Harmony. We never discussed where we were going to live."
"Well, maybe we should look for a place, but in the meantime I was thinking that I could stay here with you."
"That sounds good" Sheridan said.
"I am going to take a shower. Do you want to join me?" Luis asked.
"That sounds nice."

Back at the Crane Mansion Alistair Crane was dialing Sheridan's number. The phone rang, but nobody answered.
"We need to find some way of seperating Luis from Sheridan so we can kill Luis."
"I have got the perfect plan father" Julian Crane said.
As Julian and Alistair discussed their plans. Sheridan was getting dressed.
Luis turned to Sheridan and said.
"I hate to leave, but I have an afternoon shift at the police station."
"Ok Luis, I will see you later tonight than."
"I'll miss you sweetheart."
"I'll miss you too. Now go before you're late."
Sheridan and Luis kissed goodbye. Once Luis had left, Sheridan finished getting dressed.

As Luis walked into the police station he noticed Sam Bennet sitting at his desk.
"Hey Luis, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on your honeymoon."
"Yeah, but Sheridan and I decided to leave tomorrow for Hawaii because of everything that has happened."
"So, how is married life?"
"I'm loving it so far" Luis said

Julian had already made the arrangements he had called someone regarding his plan to kill Luis. Everything was in order and Luis would never survive.
Julian was sure of that.

"Luis do you have the file regarding the Walker case?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, it's in my car, but I am kind of tied up right now interrogating Beth."
"That's ok Luis just give the keys to Mark and he will retrieve the file."
"Sure Sam." Luis handed his keys to Mark Morrison who had just joined the Harmony Police Force.
"Mark, the folder is in the trunk."
"Ok, Luis."

Mark walked to Luis' car and placed the keys in the lock. As he turned the key he opened the door and stepped inside. He released that Luis' hood would not open unless he placed the keys in the ignition and then popped open the hood. So he placed the keys in the ignition. Underneath the car a mechanism ticked away and the clock dial read 3, 2, 1....

"BOOM" the car exploded in flames and there was a loud explosion. The car erupted into tiny pieces. Everyone in the police ran outside and were shocked. Luis ran outside and starred at the flames rising. All that ran through his head was the fact that that could have been him.

Luis looked as the firefighters tried to stop the blaze. Luis ran inside and all he could think about was that that bomb had been meant for him. Someone wanted him dead, but who? He couldn't believe that Mark was dead and that the bomb was supposed to kill him.
He rushed home to the cottage and he opened the door. Sheridan noticed the look of panic on Luis' face.
"Luis what's wrong?" Sheridan asked.
"Sheridan I was at work and...um...Mark..he..was.."
"Luis calm down just sit down here at tell me what happened."
"Well, I was supposed to go get a file in my car, but I was interrogating Beth, so Mark Morrison went to get the file. And then moments later, we all heard a large explosion. We all ran outside and my car was in flames.
Someone had planted a bomb in my car and Mark he's dead."
"Oh my God, Luis." Sheridan pulled Luis close and she ran her fingers through his hair.
"Sheridan someone is trying to kill me, that bomb was meant for me."
"Who would want to hurt you Luis? What are we going to do?" Sheridan cried.
"Relax Sheridan, we will make it through this. Maybe we should get away from Harmony for awhile."
"But where will we go?" Sheridan asked.
"I don't now Sheridan. I just don't know." Luis said.

"Father, the car exploded and Luis is dead."
"Excellent work, Julian and do you get rid of all the evidence?" Alistair asked.
"Yes father, everything is taken care of." Julian said as he poured himself a glass of brandy in order to celebrate Luis' death.
"Good Julian, now that Luis is dead, our secret is safe."

Sheridan and Luis had quickly packed. Luis had booked them a flight to Paris. Sheridan suggested they go there since she opened an apartment there and no one would know where they were. They got into the car and headed to the airport.

As Luis and Sheridan waited in their seats, they were both a little nervous about flying again. The last flight they had been on had almost crashed. As the plane took off, Sheridan squeezed Luis' hand for support and reassurance.

As Julian sat in the den watching the local news, Alistair was busy with a phone call. Suddenly, the repoter spoke about a car explosion that had occurred earlier that day. Julian increased the volume and listened attentively.
"Earlier today in the Harmony Police Department's parking lot, a young police offer lost his life, after a deadly car explosion. Police Officers stated that the young police officer had gone to the car to retrieve a case file. Unfortunately, the car exploded and 24 year old Mark Morrison died after the car exploded. Apparently, it seems a bomb was placed beneath the car and police officers are investigating. There will be more information on this case as it becomes available. So stay tuned to Channel 6 news."
Julian's jaw dropped as he repeated the reporter's words over and over again in his mind "24 year old Mark Morrison died.."
"Luis is still alive, Julian" Alistair yelled.
"The bomb was placed under Luis' car."
"Well, he isn't dead we need to take care of this Julian, now."

Sheridan placed the key into the door and turned it. She entered her old apartment in France. The last time she was here was with Jean Luc. All these memories started to flood back, but now her life was with Luis and it it wasn't for Jean Luc's affair she never would have met Luis.
"Wow Sheridan this apartment is really nice."
"Yes it is. I lived here for many years."
"Just put those bags in the bedroom, which is done the hall."
Once Luis had returned, Sheridan asked him "Luis do you have any idea who would want to kill you?"
"No, I don't Sheridan. Hank is in jail and so is Beth. Unless..."
Luis drifted off and thought for a moment about the Cranes. Alistair had tried to stop their wedding. Could they possible have orchestrated the whole incident.
"Luis who are you thinking about?"
"Sheridan I was thinking about your father, Alistair Crane."
"Surely, you don't think that they planted the bomb under you patrol car, do you?"
"Well, how else could it be. Besides, your father did try to ruin our wedding day remember."
"You're right. I guess it has to be Alistair. But what are we going to do."
"For now, we will stay here in Paris until we can think of a plan."
"Oh Luis, why can't we just live a normal life. Everyone is trying to jeopardize our happiness." Sheridan began to cry as tears rolled down her cheeks. Luis held Sheridan tightly and whispered in her ear "Everything is going to be alright as long as I have you."

Meanwhile, back in Harmony Alistair Crane was talking to his son Julian.
"No one can know about our secret Julian. We need to kill Luis before he finds out and discovers the truth."
"But father he does not show any interest at the moment in finding the whereabouts of his father."
"He may not know, but he won't stop looking for the truth about his father's disappearance."
"I agree father, but we already killed an officer and planted a bomb under Luis' car. If we continue to threaten his life, people would get suspicious.
We cannot try to kill him again so soon. We need to give it some time.
Besides the papers are in the wall safe in the library and no one will get near those papers with the alarm I installed a few years back."
"You're right Julian, we will let Luis and Sheridan live their lives peaceful, for now."

Sheridan and Luis had travelled to a quait little french coffee shop.
Sheridan was drinking a coffee and Luis was trying to think of what to do.
"Sheridan I think that we are safe in Paris and no one will know where we are, but we have to try to find away to expose your father so that we can live our lives in Harmony."
"I agree, but my father is a very powerful and wealthy man and bringing him down won't be easy."
As Luis and Sheridan continued to talk. Two men were starting at the blond woman leaning closer to the dark haired gentleman. "It is her."
"Oui c'est le fiance de Jean Luc."
"She might now about our organization and it crimes. Jean Luc could have told her everything."
"We have to get rid of her and soon."
"I agree. We will kill her tonight."

Sheridan awoke to the sound of running water. She realized that Luis was taking a shower. She loved waking up and knowing that he was near and would always be with her. She smiled as she remembered the night of passion they shared here in this room. But Sheridan was not feeling well lately. She had been throwing up and having morning sickness for the past few days. She had decided to make an appointment with her physician that she had been seeing for years while living in Paris. She was sure that she just probably had the flu and that she needed some medicine. However, Luis thought otherwise. He was so certain that Sheridan was pregnant. He claimed it was because all the signs were apparent. Her glowing cheeks, the morning sickness, but Sheridan ignored Luis' ideas. It would be wonderful if she were pregnant, but she didn't want to get her hopes up too soon.

Luis emerged from the bathroom. He had a white towel wrapped around his waist and his hair was dripping wet. Sheridan bit her lip and she looked at Luis. He was so sexy she thought to herself.
"Hey sleepyhead you're finally up. The shower is all yours."
"Good morning Luis, I have an appointment today with Dr. Jenkins at 10:00 am so don't forget ok."
"Alright Sheridan. Do you want me to make you some breakfast?"
"Sure breakfast sounds good."
Suddenly, Sheridan felt sick to her stomach and she ran into the washroom quickly. Luis ran in afterwards and held her forehead as she vomited.
"I am telling you Sheridan you're pregnant."
"We won't know until after the appointment Luis, so please don't get your hopes up."
"Alright I want, but if you are I'll be the happiest man alive."
"I'd be happy too." Sheridan beamed.

Later that morning, Sheridan sat in Dr. Jenkins office holding Luis' hand as they awaited the test results.
However, what Sheridan and Luis hadn't noticed was two men following them in a black convertible.
"We have to kill her tonight"
"How are we going to get rid of that friend of hers."
"We will create a diversion, don't worry I know what to do."
"C'est tres facile" (this means it is very easy)
"Oui" the man laughed after he agreed with his friend.

Dr. Jenkins entered the office and sat down at his desk.
"Well I have the results Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald."
"Well doctor are we going to have a baby or not"
Dr. Jenkins looked at Luis and Sheridan and then looked down at the test results and said.
"You are...."

"So doctor, what are the results are we going to be parents?" Sheridan asked as she squeezed Luis' hand harder.
"Congratulations you two, you are going to have a baby."
Luis pulled Sheridan into a hug and kissed her softly. He whispered in her ear "I love you so much Sheridan."
"I love you too Luis."
Sheridan and Luis walked to their car hand in hand as they beamed with joy.
"I can't believe we are going to have a baby."
"I told you Sheridan."
"I am glad you were right Luis. We created a baby that is growing inside of me. I hope it has your eyes."
"I'd rather it looked like you 'cause you're an angel."
Sheridan started to cry and she pulled Luis in for a kiss.
"Come on Sheridan let's go celebrate."
"Where are you taking me Luis?" Sheridan asked.
"You'll see when we get there."
"Oh come on, can't you give me a hint" Sheridan begged.
"You'll just have to wait and see Sheridan."

In the black convertible the two men were plotting how to take Sheridan away from her "friend."
"We will have to kill her tonight. We cannot afford to waste any more time."
"Je sais, mais comment est-ce que..." (I know but how are..)
"Ferme la bouche. Tu es un idiot." (Shut up. You are an idiot)
As the two men argued Luis and Sheridan drove away.

Luis pulled up in front of their apartment.
"Luis I thought you said you were taking me someplace special."
"This is special you'll see."
"Now close your eyes."
"Luis" Sheridan whined.
"Close your eyes Sheridan" Luis said.
Sheridan closed her eyes and Luis opened the apartment door. He guided her into the bedroom.
"Now open your eyes Sheridan"
"Oh my God, it's beautiful Luis"
Luis had hired some people to decorate the bedroom with candles and flowers.
There were red roses everywhere and lit candles in every corner of the room.
Music was playing softly and the lights were down low.
"I had a feeling you'd like your surprise."
"But when did you do all this. I mean we were together all morning at the doctor's office."
"I called a few people and they helped me out."
As a song ended another one began.
"May I have this dance Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald?" Luis asked.
"Of course you can have this dance and every other dance for the rest of our lives."
A new song started to play...

As the music ended Luis and Sheridan held each close. Luis decided to run out and get some take out so they could eat.
"Don't take to long Luis" Sheridan said.
"I will be home soon. Just relax and lie down for awhile."
Luis ran to his car and drove off into the night.
The two men noticed Luis leaving and decided it was time to make their move.
They went up to the apartment door and picked the lock. They slowly walked in and tried not to make a noise. Sheridan heard footsteps and said "Luis is that you. Did you forget your keys?"
Suddenly, the two men entered her bedroom and one of the men pointed a gun at Sheridan and said "Don't scream or will shoot. Just remain calm and do what we say."
Sheridan was panicking. Who were these men and what did they want with her she thought.
"Please don't hurt me. Take whatever you want, but please don't hurt me" Sheridan cried.
"Shut up" the man yelled.
"We want you to answer a few questions for us" the other man said.
"If you answer our questions no one will get hurt."

Luis parked in the parking lot and ran into the restaurant to grab some take out. He was anxious to get back to Sheridan and be with her. He loved being in Paris with her alone, with no distractions and now they were going to have a baby. He started to daydream about having little kids ran around and calling him daddy. He would have a light boy that looked like him or perhaps a girl that looked like his beautiful wife.
He quickly placed the order and waited in line for his delivery. He thought about how Sheridan looked so radiant now that she was pregnant.

Meanwhile back at Sheridan and Luis' apartment the two men continued to harass Sheridan.
"We need you to answer some questions for us, Ms. Crane."
"What do you want from me?" Sheridan asked.
"What do you know about our affairs with your fiancee Jean Luc?" one of the men asked.
"Jean Luc?? I haven't seen him since I left Paris. I broke it off with him because he was cheating on me."
"We don't care about what happened between the two of you. Do you know about our affairs?"
"What affairs? I don't know anything."
"You'd better not be lying or else we will kill you like we did Jean Luc."
"You killed Jean Luc?" Sheridan asked frightened.
"Yes, a car explosion about a year ago."
"Oh my god."
Suddenly, their was a hard knock at the door.
"Get the door and send however that it away."
The man pointed the gun at Sheridan and she went to the front door. He hid behind the door keeping the gun pressed into her back.
"Now open the door and send them away."
Sheridan opened the door and smiled at her next door neighbours.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Walker. What can I do for you?"
"Well Sheridan we just wanted to say hello and bring you this delicious lemon pie I made you. May we come in?"
The man pressed the gun harder into her back.
"Well, actually I am quite busy and I can't let you come in, but maybe some other time. Thanks for the lemon pie. Goodbye Mr. and Mrs. Walker."
Sheridan quickly closed the door and starred at the two men. "Good job Mrs. Crane. Now sit down on the sofa. We need to ask you to cooperate with us and no one will get hurt."

Mr and Mrs. Walker found it odd that Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald was in such a hurry. They visited Sheridan and Luis often and they were always welcomed inside for some coffee or just to chat. But today Sheridan had seemed nervous and uneasy.
"Jacque, I am getting this strange feeling that something is wrong with Sheridan. She maybe in trouble."
"Chantal, honestly Sheridan was probably having a romantic dinner with her husband and wanted some privacy."
"Maybe your right, I am just overracting."

Luis had just finished parking the car when he noticed Mr. and Mrs. Walker.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Walker, how are you?"
"We are fine thanks." Mr. Walker answered.
Mrs. Walker realized that something wasn't right about Sheridan's behaviour so she told Luis what had happened just a few minutes prior.
"Sheridan was very nervous and she wouldn't let us come in. It was as if there was someone behind her telling her to get rid of us. You don't suppose she is in trouble do you Luis?" Luis started to panic and he thanked the Walkers and went around the back entrance of the apartment. He looked through the kitchen window and noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

Suddenly, he saw Sheridan's face. She had a look of horror as a man pointed a gun at her and was yelling. Luis immediately opened the kitchen door and snuck quietly in to the kitchen. He peered through the kitchen door and looked into the family room. There on the couch was Sheridan shaking nervously as two men watched and listened to her answer their questions.
Luis needed to think of a plan. He was so busy thinking that he did not notice his car keys fall out of his pocket and hit the kitchen floor. The keys hit the floor making a loud noise.
The two man immediately looked in the direction of the kitchen. "What was that? Someone is in the kitchen."
Sheridan knew it had to be Luis. She was frightened that the men might shot Luis. So she grabbed the vase that was sitting on the living room table and from behind wacked one of the men with the vase. He immediately fell to the floor. As the other man turned around, he looked at Sheridan coldly.
"You are going to pay for that Ms. Crane. You just made a very big mistake.

Suddenly, the man squeezed harder on the trigger and from behind Luis kickedhim. The man pulled the trigger but it missed Sheridan. Sheridan sighed withrelief, as Luis pulled the man down and brought his hands behind his back.

"Quick Sheridan call the police"

Sheridan ran to the phone and dialed the police.

"Bonjour c'est le police quel est le problem?" (Hi this is the police, whatis the problem?)

As Sheridan explained what had happened Luis made sure the two men didn'tescape.

A few hours later Sheridan and Luis arrived home after having been questioned down at police headquarters. The two men were Vicente Marnoir andPhillipe Cartier, they both belonged to a group of French terrorists knownas the "Toxique." The two men were now behind bars awaiting their sentencing from a judge.

Luis and Sheridan were exhausted and Luis turned to Sheridan and said "How are you feeling? Maybe you should lie down, I don't want anything to happen to the baby."

"Luis I am fine and so is the baby. You worry to much. Are you going to be so protective until the baby arrives?"

"Yes, I love you, and our baby and I want nothing to happen."

"As long as I have you, nothing will go wrong."

Meanwhile, back in Harmony everyone was wondering where Sheridan and Luis were. Sheridan and Luis had disappeared about two months ago. Pillar was the first to notice that Luis and Sheridan were missing, but slowly everyone else knew that the two had vanished. Ethan Crane had decided to check Sheridan' cottage, but everything was there except for her suitcase and some clothes. Ethan thought that Sheridan could have packed and left with Luis, but it was unlike her and Luis to leave without telling anyone. So he dismissed the idea. As a week, turned into a month and so on, everyone in Harmony began to lose hope that Sheridan and Luis were alive. After about two months and no sign or word from either Sheridan or Luis, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds begin to dread the worst. However, despite the saddness that many harboured for the missing Luis and Sheridan, there were two people who were thrilled to hear the news.

"Father, it seems that Sheridan and Luis have taken off and are probably dead. We won't have to worry about Luis finding out the truth about what really happened to Martin Fitzgerald because he has disappeared. And since he has contacted no one in Harmony we can safely assume he is dead."

"You are right Julian. Luis would have contacted his family, if he were still alive and Sheridan would have tried to contact Ethan to tell him that she was fine."

Julian got out of his chair and walked over to the brandy. He poured himself a cup and said sarcasticly

"To new beginnings, may Sheridan and Luis rest in peace." He swallowed the brandy and as it went down his throat, he never realized how good brandy could taste when it goes down smooth. He had won and revenge was bitter sweet.

Back at the Lopez-Fitgerald residence, Pillar was lighting two candles, one for Sheridan and the other for Luis.

"Mama Luis and Sheridan are going to come back to us."

"I hope so Theresa. I miss both of them terribly."

"I miss Luis too Mama and I am sure wherever they are, Luis and Sheridan are together looking after one another."

Theresa hugged her mother as Pillar began to cry. Since the window was slightly open the wind blew out both candles. Pillar turned her head and began to sob louder.

"Theresa it's a sign. The candles have gone out something terrible has happened."

"Mama it was just the wind, you can't think like this."

"You're right Theresa I have to have faith that your brother and Sheridan will return to us soon."

Pillar went to relit the candles and as she did Theresa watched her mother and thought please let my brother and Sheridan be alright.

Sam Bennet sat in his office at the Harmony Police Department. He looked over at Luis' desk. It was empty and just a few months ago, Luis had been sitting in that chair. What had happened? He looked over the case files of Sheridan and Luis' missing persons report. Luis' picture starred back at him and he wondered where his friend was. Suddenly, the phone rang and Sam jumped. The phone call had startled him. He picked up the phone and said "Hello, Chief Bennet here"

"Chief Bennet we need you to come down to Castleton beach right away." Greg Rostic said.

"Why Greg what have you found."

"We found two bodies at the beach and we think that we may have found Luis and Sheridan."

Sam dropped the phone from his hand and simply looked at the picture of the once happy couple starring him back in the face.

He called Pillar and informed her of Greg's findings in Castleton.

Pillar, Theresa, and Miguel were saddened by the findings, but were not giving up hope that the bodies were not Sheridan and Luis.

Back in Paris, Sheridan and Luis were comfortably asleep in their bedroom. Sheridan woke up as the sun streamed through the curtains and hit her face. She looked at Luis who was sleeping peacefully. She got up out of bed and went into the kitchen to make some breakfast. Luis woke up and turned to grab Sheridan, but she wasn't there.

"Sheridan where are you?" Luis asked.

"I am in the kitchen sweetie."

Luis got out of bed and walked into the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around Sheridan's waist from behind and kissed her cheek.

"How are you feeling this morning?"

"I am fine Luis, stop worrying about me."

"I know, but I worry about you and the baby."

"Luis, maybe we should contact Pillar and the rest of the family."

"Sheridan we already had this discussion. We don't want anyone to know we are here because too many people want to keep us apart. Like your father and brother Julian. Don't you remember the car explosion. I could have been killed!"

"I know Luis but your family is probably extremely worried about you and Ethan is worried about me too. We have to tell them that we are all right."

"I know Sheridan, but not now. Soon we will go back to Harmony and we will see everyone. Don't worry Sheridan everything is going to be fine."

Sam parked his patrol car on the beach in Castleton. He dreaded having to look at the bodies. What if they really were Sheridan and Luis? What would he do. He walked over to join officer Greg Hampton who was talking to some other policemen.

"Greg can we identify the bodies?"

"Sam these two people have been unidentifiable because there faces have been slashed several times. We think it may be Luis and Sheridan because the woman has blond hair and the man is the same built as Luis. The two individuals appear to have the same build as Luis and Sheridan."

"Let me look at the bodies."

Sam followed Greg as he walked over to two black body bags. He unzipped the first body bag and Sam was horrified at the sight. The first person he saw was the woman he guessed because of the blond hair. It bared similarities to Sheridan Crane but he was not certain."

After looking at both bodies, Sam asked

"Is there any other evidence to help us identify the bodies."

"None that we are aware of. Except for the fact that we found some lugguage and clothes' in the victims' car."

"You found a car?"

"Yes, it appears to be the victims' car. There is blood smeared all over the wheel and on the seats. We are having the blood analysed. We should know the results in a couple of hours Sam."

"Thanks Greg, you have been a real help."

Sam called Pillar and told her the news. As family and friends gathered at the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence, they all awaited the results together.

Hoping that the tests would reveal that the bodies did not belong to Sheridan Crane and Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald.

Hours later the phone rang loudly in the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence. Pillar ran to the phone and answered it.

"Hello Lopez-Fitzgerald residence."

"Hello Mrs. Fitzgerald this is Donnie Summerton from the DNA labs. We have the DNA results of the blood found at the scene of the crime in Castleton. We are calling to tell you the results of our findings.

Pillar looked at her children and then answered

"So Mr. Summerton what did you find? Does the blood belong to my son Luis and Sheridan Crane?"

"I sorry to have to say this Mrs. Fitzgerald, but the blood matched your son's DNA and the same goes for Ms. Crane."

"Oh my God" Pilar screamed as she dropped the phone to the floor.

"My son is....de...ad...Oh...noooo..."She cried.Theresa broke down into tears as Miguel grabbed her and comforted her.

Everyone was saddened by the horrible news and Sam decided to help Pilar with the funeral arrangements, as did Ethan.

Ethan cried as well once he discovered his aunt was really dead. The whole town of Harmony was mourning the deaths of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and Sheridan Crane.

Meanwhile back in Paris, Sheridan and Luis were listening to the heartbeat of their baby.

"Listen Luis, that's are baby's heartbeat" Sheridan cried tears of joy as she heard the baby's comforting rhythm.

"Yes, it's our baby in there. We created this child that is growing inside of you." He kissed Sheridan's forehead and squeezed her hand gently.

The doctor listened closely to the heartbeat and said

"That's odd the rhythm is somewhat duplicated."

"What do you mean doctor? Is there a problem with our baby?" Sheridan said panicking.

"Relax Mrs. Fitzgerald, I am sure the baby is fine. I am just going to investigate this further and we should know shortly why the heartbeat is unsteady."

"Oh Luis, what if something is wrong with our baby." Sheridan said once the doctor had left the room.

"Sheridan I am sure it's nothing. Everything is going to be okay." Luis said with uncertainty.

Sheridan looked at Luis' eyes and knew that as much as she wanted to believe what Luis was saying he had doubts, just as she did.

Back in Harmony, Ethan Crane and Sam Bennet were making all the necessary arrangements for the funeral. Since the bodies will still in storage at the local morgue, they decided to postpone the funeral for a few days. That would give them plenty of time to contact Father Longan and take care of all the necessary details.

"Sam, they should be buried together."

"I agree Ethan. Those two were very much in love and together their souls can rest in peace."

Luis and Sheridan waited in Mr. Summerton's office nervously. Sheridan turned to Luis and said "What if something is wrong with our baby. Oh Luis this isn't fair."

"Calm down, Sheridan we don't know for sure if anything is wrong. I am sure everything will turn out alright."

"I hope you're right Luis, because I don't think I could take any more bad news. I mean look at all we have been through to be together."

"I know Sheridan, I know" Luis whispered softly in Sheridan's ear as he stroked her back.

Just then Mr. Summerton walked into his office. He walked over to his chair and sat down. He reviewed the results again and then looked over at the young couple. They appeared to be so much in love, yet at the moment they looked agitated and worried. He began to speak"Mr. and Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald we have the results as to why your baby's heart rhythm was duplicated. I suspected such at first, but I had to be sure. There's no point in saying something to both of you, if in fact the opposite was true."

"Oh nooo" Sheridan cried. "Tell me doctor, what's wrong with our baby? Is it something serious?"

"Calm down Mrs. Fitzgerald you haven't heard what I was going to say."

Meanwhile, back in Harmony everyone was gathered at the church for the funerals of the deceased Sheridan Crane and Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald. There were candles adorning the church halls and alters and in front of the alter rested the two caskets, side by side. On the left side of the alter were two pictures, one of Sheridan and one of Luis, which were encircled by a green wreath. Father Longan commenced the funeral and spoke."We are all gathered here today to pay our respects to the faithfully departed young souls. We will always remember these two individuals, Sheridan Crane and Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald by looking back at the fond memories we shared with them. Not to long ago, we all gathered here to celebrate the joyful union of these two in holy matrimony. Let us pray."

There was a moment of silence and then Father Longan commenced by saying"Remember, Lord, those who have died and have gone before us marked with the sign of faith, especially those for whom we now pray, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and Sheridan Crane. May these, and all who sleep in Christ, find in your presence light, happiness and peace. Let us remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again; bring them and all the departed into the light of your presence. Amen."

"Now we will hear two eulogies in memory of these Luis and Sheridan. Theresa will commence, Theresa."

Theresa got up and walked over to the alter. She paused for a moment and starred at the picture of Luis smiling and starring her back in the face.

She kept expecting for Luis to walk into the church and say "What's going on here? Why is everyone attending my funeral? I am not dead." Or she wanted to wake up from this horrible and horrific dream, but neither came true. As each day had passed edging closer to this moment, Theresa realized the inevitable truth, that Luis was never coming back, nor Sheridan. She stepped up on the alter and turned to face the crowd. She looked at all the sad faces. Everyone in Harmony had come to pay their respects. The Bennetts, the Russells and the Cranes were all here to say goodbye to Sheridan and Luis.

"My brother Luis, always told me...that...life...should...be lived...to the...ful..l..est.." She began to sob and she realized she had to be strong.

She cleared her throat and began again. "Luis always put his family...ahead..of everything..else. He wanted the best for all of us, Miguel...Mama and me. He loved us so much and he always looked...out for us. He gave up his dreams, in order to...support...his...family. He made new dreams and desperately...wanted to ....become a detective..and now those....dreams are...dead. But what will continue to live on...in...our..hearts..are the memories we cherish...of Luis. He always looked out for everyone..in Harmony. He gave us his free time...and devoted it to the kids at the youth center. Luis always...put...the concerns...of..others ahead of his own." Tears trickled down Theresa's cheeks and as she looked around, most of the people in the room where crying as well.

"But most importantly....Luis...always cherished love. Even though his dream of being a...detective..has vanished...the one thing that was must..important....to Luis came true. Luis found his soulmate...Sheridan. When I saw the way he looked at her....and loved her...you could tell...that that's the kind of love...we all dream about. The kind of love that's unconditional and everlasting. He had the chance....to...walk down the aisle and marry Sheridan. That day was the happiest day of his life. And now together,....Luis and Sheridan...will...live...forever...as one...in heaven.

If Sheridan had died...then Luis' spirit would have died...because they were so connected...that living apart or with...out each other..was unthinkable..and that kind of...love...he was able...to find...in his lifetime. The memories of my brother will always be in my heart...and in your hearts. Let us not....forget....that..fond memories we shared..with Luis and Sheridan...may the memories be...imprinted in...our hearts....as well as...our minds. Thank you"

Theresa wiped the tears from her cheeks and sat down next to her mother and Miguel.

Pilar consoled Theresa and whispered in her ear "That was beautiful Theresita. Luis would have been very proud of you."

Dr. Summerton starred at Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald and smiled.

"Everything is fine with your babies Mrs. Fitzgerald."

"Oh, thank God Luis" Sheridan said as Luis comforted her.

"What did you say babies, Doctor Summerton?" Luis asked.

"That's right Mr. Fitzgerald, I said babies. You are going to have twins, congratulations."

"Twins!" Luis and Sheridan said in unison.

"Yes, the baby's heart rhythm was duplicated because their were two heartbeats, meaning two babies."

"Oh, Luis we're going to have twins" Sheridan cried as tears of joy trickled down her cheeks.

Luis pulled Sheridan in closer for a hug and whispered in her ear softly"I can't believe we are having twins, I love you so much Sheridan."

"I love you too Luis. Now let's go celebrate."

Back in Harmony, Ethan Crane was standing at the alter ready to deliver his eulogy for his aunt Sheridan Crane. He looked at all the faces in the room. He saw his mother, Ivy crying and next to his mother, his fiancee Gwen. Then he looked over at Pilar. She looked so sad and she was crying. Theresa was comforting her mother as Charity comforted Miguel. But wait he realized that his father Julian, Sheridan's brother, nor Alistair were in attendance at the funeral. How could they not show up he thought to himself.

Meanwhile at the Crane Mansion, Julian was celebrating and had poured himself a glass of brandy. He had successfully convinced all of Harmony that Luis and Sheridan were really dead.

He did not know if Luis and Sheridan we're alive, but he was certain they would never return.

"Julian I want to congratulate you for not screwing up. At least this time you did something right."

"Yes father I do say that this plan of yours was brilliant." Julian rolled his eyes as he spoke.

"No one will ever know that those bodies are not Sheridan and Luis and thanks to the DNA switch you pulled no one will ever investigate any further."

"That's right father, right now those fools are all mourning the death of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and his lovely bride Sheridan Crane." Julian said sarcastically.

"Just make sure Julian that no one ever learns the truth about Sheridan and Luis."

"Don't worry father how could the truth possibly come out. Technically they probably are somewhere far away and they will never return. Besides everyone thinks they are dead because they are all crying and paying their respects to the deceased couple."

"You're right Julian, at least this time something went right. Just make sure nothing goes wrong. The Crane's must always be protected, no matter what the cost Julian."

"Yes father I understand goodbye." Julian pressed the telephone button and hung up the phone. He was satisfied with how well everything had turned out.

At the church Ethan Crane stood at the alter and began to speak."Sheridan Crane...was my best friend. Since we were so close in age we became the best of friends. I could turn to Sheridan at any time....that I needed to talk. She was like the big sister I never had. Sheridan had a heart of gold, despite having the Crane money and power she often wished she could be normal and average. She was very generous and kind to others and hated being used just because she was a Crane. When she met Luis she found the one person who loved her for her and didn't want to use her. This is what Sheridan always dreamed of having. Someone to love her, not for her money and stature, but for her. I will miss talking to Sheridan and seeing her smile. She could easily make you feel better and cheer you up. She cared about others and always loved the simple things in life, things that money could never buy. Like watching the sun set or taking a walk through the park. I'm glad she found Luis and had a chance to experience true love. The one thing all of us dream of having. Luis made her happy and were ever she is, she is happy with him. I never imagined my life without Sheridan and now that's she gone I keep expecting for her to walk through the church doors and come in smiling. But she's not and the only thing left are the good times we shared and the memories. I will always keep her close to me, next to my heart for always, thank you.

During his eulogy Ethan's eyes had become watery and he had shed a few tears. Everyone in the room was crying and having to mourn the death of two individuals who were so much in love was extremely difficult. Father Longan ended of by saying these words.

"Welcome into your kingdom our departed brother, Luis Lopez Fitzgerald and sister, Sheridan Crane, and all who have left this world in your friendship.

We hope to enjoy forever the vision of your glory, through Christ our Lord, from whom all good things come. Amen."

Four months later:

Luis and Sheridan lay in each other's arms as the sunset. Luis had his handswrapped around Sheridan's waist and he held her tight, just to make sure that he wasn't just dreaming. Music was playing softly in the background and it seemed that life couldn't get any better. Sheridan was really showing and her stomach was quite big for a woman who was six months pregnant, but it didn't matter to Luis. He loved Sheridan so much and she was carrying his babies.

"Luis maybe we should go back to Harmony now. I mean its been a long time and I want to be next to our family and friends when the twins are born."

"I know sweetie, I agree and I think we should go back to. I want to see mama and Theresa and Miguel. It's been a long time."

"So then its' settled we will go book a flight tomorrow and we will go back to Harmony for good."

Sheridan closed her eyes and with her head against Luis' chest she began to drift off to sleep.

The music continued to play softly .... "Nothing really matters, love is all we need..."

Back in Harmony people were adjusting to living without Sheridan and Luis.

Still many people couldn't believe they were really gone. No one knew who should take over as director at the youth center because no one had the time to do it. Days went on and slowly the residents of Harmony learned to move on with their everyday lives. One thing that was quickly approaching was the annual Harmony Spring Ball.

Everyone was making preparations for the ball because it was only in two days. The Harmony Spring Ball took place every March in Harmony and the event was used to raise money. Everyone would dress up and their would be acts performed by residents of Harmony such as songs or choreographed and rehearsed dance numbers. All these events would raise money at the ball for the Harmony hospital. The final preparations were being made and all the numbers were being rehearsed. The event was to take place at the local Harmony theatre.

Luis picked up the phone and dialled the number that Sheridan had gave him. He booked two flights for tomorrow night to fly from Paris back to Harmony.

After hanging up the phone he joined Sheridan who was sitting in the living room reading a book.

"I already booked a flight for tomorrow night. We should be in Harmony at around 9:00pm. Our flight leaves around 5:00pm so we'd better start packing."

Meanwhile back at the Crane Mansion, Julian was relaxing in the library as his father continued to speak.

"Listen Julian it's been a few months and seems like we are in the clear.

Luis and Sheridan have disappeared and we will never have to worry about the truth being discovered."

"That's right father, everything is going our way and we have nothing to worry about."

"I have to go now Julian, but don't forgot to close the deal with Mr. Pierre. After all we want to the Crane empire to continue to grow and expand."

"Yes father I understand goodbye."

Sheridan and Luis had dinner on the balcony watching the people below go about their everyday lives.

"Oh Luis, Paris at this time of night looks so beautiful, but I am so glad we are going to be back in Harmony tomorrow night. I can't wait to see everyone. I am sure a lot has changed since we left."

"I am sure it has Sheridan, but I no one things for sure, my love for you has grown with each passing day."

"Oh Luis, I love you so much"

"I love you too, Sheridan." Luis and Sheridan kissed passionately and as the town of Paris was busy and illuminated, they had no idea what was awaiting them back in Harmony.

The next evening everyone was gathered at the Harmony theatre. Theresa stepped out onto the stage and applause rang out.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the 13th annual Harmony Spring Ball to raise money for our local hospital - Harmony Hospital. Every year we have fellow residents of Harmony perform acts and numbers to raise money for the children's pediatric wing. So let the show began. First up we have the Jessica, Kay, Simone and Whitney singing "what a girl wants."

Meanwhile abroad an airplane, Luis and Sheridan sat together waiting to reach their destination - Harmony. Soon they would be home - back in Harmony where they belonged. Sheridan felt the babies kicking and she said to Luis "Luis feel this the babies are kicking, it's amazing." Sheridan put Luis hand on her stomach and he felt the babies kick.

"Wow, that's our babies Sheridan. They are kicking Sheridan, I can't believe that soon we will have two little one that we will have to look after."

"Maybe we should pick out names for them."

"Let's postpone that thought until we till our families the news. I am sure your family will have lots of ideas on what to name our babies."

"Your right Sheridan. We should be arriving in Harmony at any time now."

Just then there was an announcement from the stewardess. "Ladies and gentlemen we will be arriving in Harmony in five minutes. The current temperature is five degrees. The current time is 8: 15 pm. Thank you for flying American Airlines, we hope you enjoy your stay in Harmony and we hope to see you again soon."

"Luis we are almost hope, I can't wait to see everyone."

"Me too Sheridan, I wonder how much Miguel and Theresa have grown. I can't wait to see Mama and the rest of the family."

"I am sure they have been really worried about us, but once they see us they will be ecstatic ."

Forty five minutes later, Luis and Sheridan arrived at the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence, but it appeared that no one was home.

"It looks like no one is home Luis."

"You're right Sheridan. They have to be somewhere, let's go for a walk."

As Sheridan and Luis walked through the streets of Harmony, the town watched in amusement as the Harmony Spring Ball continued.

"Thank you, Joe and the Musketeers. Well ladies and gentlemen we have come to the mystery song portion of the ball. In a few minutes, everyone will listen to three songs that will be played. The first person to correctly identify all three songs will win this lovely porcelain doll collection. The retail value of this gift is five thousand dollars and we must thank Ivy Crane for her generous donation of these porcelain dolls for our prize giveaway. We will commence the event in a few moments, but first let us here from Charity Standish and Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald as she performs for us "When I fall in Love...."

Luis and Sheridan reached the corner block of Symmington Avenue and stopped.

"It appears that the town is deserted this evening." Luis said.

"Well they have to be somewhere. Why don't we check the Harmony paper, maybe there is some event that everyone has attended."

"Good idea Sheridan. I knew there was a good reason I married you besides marrying you for your looks."

"Oh Luis" Sheridan said while rolling her eyes.

They both laughed as they walked over to the next corner to grab a newspaper from the corner newspaper box. Luis deposited a few coins and grabbed a newspaper. Sheridan and Luis starred at the front headline. "All of Harmony gathers tonight for the Annual Harmony Spring Ball."

"Well of course, Sheridan they are all at the theatre tonight because of the annual spring ball."

"Look Luis" Sheridan said while pointing to a picture of the Master of Ceremonies.

"It's Theresa, she's gotten more and more beautiful since the last time I saw her."

"Yes she has Luis."

"Come on Sheridan let's go see our friends and family" Luis said as he grabbed Sheridan's hand.

Back at the Harmony Theatre, Theresa was getting ready to commence the mystery song competition.

"Okay everyone please get ready to play. I will go over the rules. You must not shout out the name of the first song we play, nor the second and third.

Simply write down the names of the songs on a piece of paper and when you think you know all three raise your hand. I will then ask you to identify all three songs and if you are correct, you will win these lovely porcelain dolls. Are we all ready to begin? Ok, then let's get started."

Luis and Sheridan stepped inside the Harmony theatre and could hear

Theresa's voice going over the rules for the mystery competition. They followed her voice until they reached a set of double doors. They quietly opened the doors and stepped inside. They stayed at the back so that they would not disrupt the competition. It was dark since all the lights were off and the only light on were the stage lights shining on Theresa.

Sheridan and Luis starred at Theresa as the event began.

"Okay ladies and gentlemen, the first song is about to be played so please write it down if you think you know it."

Music started to play "When I was very young, nothing really mattered to me.."

"Luis I know that song it's nothing really matters by Madonna."

"That's great Sheridan maybe we could win the prize."

"Okay listen closely because here is the second song." Music again started to play "If you only knew, what I've been going through..."

"Oh Luis I don't know this song."

"I do Sheridan. It's Could this be love by Jennifer Lopez."

"That's great Luis we just need one more to win."

"Okay folks only one more song to go so listen closely and the first person to raise their hand will be eligible to win this porcelain doll collection.

The final song is.."

Music played again and Luis and Sheridan listened closely to the lyrics "For a shield from the storm, For a friend, For a love to keep me safe and warm..."

"I turn to you by Christina Aguilera" Sheridan and Luis both said in unison.

"I could never forget that song we danced to it before the first night we made love in Paris." Sheridan said.

Luis raised his hand and Theresa could vaguely make out the person lurking in the shadows, but she noticed the figure raise its hand.

"It looks like we have a winner, could you please come forward sir or madam and tell us what the names of the songs and the artists are please."

"It looks like we have a winner, could you please come forward sir or madame and tell us what the names of the songs and the artists are please."

Luis looked at Theresa and smiled he hadn't seen her in almost a year and he realized at that moment just have much he had missed his family. He then looked at Sheridan's blue eyes and they were sparkling. She was more beautiful with each passing day, especially since she was carrying twins. He turned to Sheridan and whispered in her ear.

"Sheridan, let's go up together."

"Good idea Luis"

Theresa noticed that the two figures at the back of the room were not coming forward and she pulled the microphone closer to her lips and said.

"Excuse sir or madame could you please come forward. Come on don't be shy."

Suddenly, the two figures started to step into the light and what Theresa and the rest of Harmony saw shocked them.

There coming forward and closer to the stage stood Sheridan and Luis. She squinted to adjust her eyes to the bright light shining on Luis and Sheridan. It couldn't be she thought. They are supposed to be dead. She started to feel faint and she hid the stage ground with a thud. Everyone in the room stood wide eyed and bewildered at the sight of the couple standing in front of them.

"Theresa" Luis yelled as he let go of Sheridan's hand and ran over to the stage.

Pilar looked over at Sheridan and couldn't believe her eyes. She stood from her chair and she came closer to Sheridan. She realized at that moment that Sheridan was obviously pregnant and her stomach was huge. Pilar couldn't believe her eyes and she thought her mind was playing tricks on her.

"Sheridan is that really you." Pilar said standing right in front of Sheridan.

"Of course it me Pilar. What's going on why is everyone so shocked to see us."

Luis ran over to Theresa and grabbed her arm.

"Theresa wake up. Come on Theresa why did you faint?"

Theresa's eyes started to flutter open and she squinted her eyes to adjust to the face she saw huddled over her. It was definitely Luis but how could that be. She reached out and touched his face.

"Luis" she said astonished. "It's really....you...I thought..." She began to cry as she pulled Luis in for a strong hug.

Pilar touched Sheridan also to see if she wasn't just dreaming and once she realized Sheridan was alive she began to cry out.

"Oh my god, Sheridan you're alive you're really alive"

Everyone in the arm was shocked. It was obvious the Luis and Sheridan were alive and well. So who had they mourned three months ago at the church.

Slowly friends and family approached Sheridan and began to ask her questions. She found Ethan in the crowd and called out to him.

"Ethan, Gwen come here."

Ethan looked into Sheridan's big blue eyes and his eyes became watery.

"You're alive, it's really you."

"Yes its me silly." They hugged for a long time and then Ethan pulled away abruptly.

"We thought you and Luis were.....ya know...."

"What Ethan what is it...Why is everyone so shocked to see us."

"We thought you were both dead. We mourned your deaths...we saw...the bodies...and...and"

"Oh my god...."

Theresa and Luis pulled away from each other and Luis offered Theresa his hand. They joined Sheridan and the rest of Harmony at the back of the theatre.

Luis rushed over to Sheridan who looked as white as a ghost.

"Sheridan what's wrong....you look like you've seen a ghost."

"Luis everyone that we were dead" She said astonished. "They had a funeral for us and Ethan told me that Sam had found our bodies and he id. them as us."

"What.." Luis said startled.

He pulled Sheridan in close to him and hugged her tightly as if she was going to disappear at any second.

"Listen everyone. We are not dead we ran off to Paris together and we couldn't tell anyone because someone tried to kill me. We decided it was best to get away from Harmony for a few months."

Sam spoke out and said "But Luis I saw the bodies they were the same built and height...and I just thought..."

"It's okay Sam I understand I would have thought the same thing if the situation were reversed."

Sheridan began to cry and her tears streamed down her face. She pulled Luis closer to her and buried her face in his chest.

"Sheridan it's okay everything is going to be okay. We are back in Harmony where we belong and our babies are going to be born soon and..."

"Babies" Pilar said. "You mean you are going to have twins"

"Yes isn't it obvious" Luis said pointing to Sheridan's stomach.

"I knew Sheridan was pregnant Luis, but twins this is such wonderful news."

Pilar hugged her son and Sheridan. She hadn't seen them for close to a year and she was so overjoyed her son was alive as well as his wife.

"Well I guess we have all had enough surprises for one day. I think its best of Sheridan rested for awhile the flight wore us both out and she needs plenty of rest."

Everyone was astonished and the ball was cancelled. The Lopez-Fitzgeralds went home and everyone began asking lots of questions to Luis and Sheridan.

They were both exhausted and agreed to fill in everyone in the morning. Luis and Sheridan said their goodbyes and decided to call it a day. Luis drove Sheridan to their cottage. Once they arrived they stepped in and everything looked the same. Luis pulled Sheridan in for a kiss. The kiss was gentle and soft and Sheridan didn't want the kiss to end. Luis pulled apart and said. "Come on Mrs. Fitzgerald. You have had a long day let's get some sleep."

"I agree. Let's go to bed."

Meanwhile back at the Crane Mansion. Julian was telling his father the surprising news.

"Father what are we going to do now. Sheridan and Luis have returned to Harmony and this means they were probably resume searching for who tried to kill Luis."

"Julian you said everything was under control. Do you always have to mess up. Its time we took action Julian. We have to kill Luis and we have to destroy Sheridan and Luis' happiness and we have to do it now. I have just the thing to turn those two against each other."

"And what do you suggest we do father?" Julian asked.

"Its very simple Julian I don't know why I hadn't thought of it sooner. We get rid of Luis the same way we got rid of his father. She will become so distraught that she will decide to leave Harmony for good. She won't be able to live with Luis and the thought of having to live alone and raise his children without him will tear her apart."

"Sounds like it might work but getting rid of Luis won't be easy. We have tried that before and he managed to survive."

"I know Julian but this time my plan will work and I am going to take care of it myself so that it doesn't fail."

Luis and Sheridan were sleeping peaceful together in there house back in Harmony. Luis awoke first and noticed that Sheridan looked rather peaceful.

"I love you so much Sheridan...I can't wait to hold our babies in my arms"

"Luis I love you too."

"Hey, I thought you were asleep sleepyhead."

"I was awake, but I didn't want you to know that." She snuggled closer to Luis and then the reality of what had happened last night had suddenly come flooding back to her.

"Luis what are we going to do. I mean we talked about the fact that we thought my father and brother were behind your murder attempt. And if that's true, then we aren't safe and they will stop at nothing to destroy our happiness."

"I know Sheridan, we have to find a way to expose Alistair."

"How are we going to do that. He is the must powerful man in Harmony and no one messes with Alistair Crane."

"Sheridan we have to do something or else we will never stop running. We can't run we have to face our demons head on. Together we can do anything."

"I know Luis. I love you and that's all that matters. As long as I have you nothing can stand in our way."

Alistair Crane had put his plan in gear and soon Luis would be history. He was sitting in his limo and he drank a glass of champagne. He was celebrating his soon to be victory again Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald.

"No one messes with Alistair Crane." he said.

Mr. Crane informed the driver to stop as he realized he was approaching his destination.

"Ronald stop here."

"Yes Mr. Crane as you wish."

The driver stopped the car abruptly and Mr. Crane put down his champagne glass he looked out the window and saw that inside the cottage the lights were on. He knew his daughter had awoken and that Luis was there as well.

He grabbed the door handle and pushed it in. Before he opened the door he smiled at how brilliant his plan was. Then he pushed the handle and pulled it in. As soon as the door opened there was a large explosion and the limousine went up in flames.

Sheridan and Luis heard the loud bang and rushed outside.

"Oh my god Luis." Luis pulled Sheridan away from the flames and then he

rushed inside to call the police.

He picked up the receiver and dialled the Harmony Police Department. "Hello Harmony PD. Chief Sam Bennet speaking."

"Sam I need backup at our cottage there has been a car explosion and we need firefighters out here immediately."

"Alright Luis I am calling for backup now. Whatever you do keep Sheridan away from the flames and do not do anything until the police arrive."

"Ok Sam."

He hang up the phone and ran out to the front of the cottage. Sheridan was standing there frightened and shivering.

Sheridan turned to Luis and said.

"Luis that's a Crane limo you don't think that my father could have been in there do you."

"We will find out soon enough Sheridan."

"Oh Luis, what if it is my father, I know he tried to kill you but I still love him and...."

Sheridan cried and tears trickled down her cheeks. Luis pulled Sheridan close and wrapped his arms around her to keep her warm and safe.

Moments later, Sheridan and Luis heard the sound of sirens in the distance.

Luis and Sheridan stood together huddled as they watched the flames rise higher.

As the flames rose higher Sheridan started to cry. All she kept thinking about was that the Crane limo had gone up in flames and who could be inside.

What it her father? Julian? Ethan? She knew it couldn't be Julian he was in his library. Ethan was with Gwen at an auction so it had to be her father.

"Oh Luis what if my father was in

there...I...will....never...for...give...myself" She started to cry and the tears quickly rolled down her cheeks. If her father really was gone she would regret it. She hadn't come to terms with her father's affair of trying to kill Luis. She knew he was behind it, but still she should have told him she still cared about him. He was her father and despite how manipulative and cold hearted he seemed at times, he was the only father she ever had.

And now he could be gone.

The firefighters arrived on the scene and immediately began to take out the blaze. The hose hit the car with such force and the fire began to subside slowly. Sam rushed over to Luis and Sheridan and said.

"Luis, Sheridan are you two alright? What happened here?"

"Yes Sam we're fine. I don't know what happened. One minute Sheridan and I were in bed and the next we heard a large bang. We rushed outside and saw the limo in flames. Sheridan thinks her father - Alistair could have been inside the car."

"Alistair as in Alistair Crane. We'll we won't know until the fire is out and the police investigate. You two should go inside and rest you two have had a very eventful day."

"You're right Sam thanks for everything. Keep us posted."

"Are you sure you two are alright Luis?"

"Yes we are fine. I'll see you tomorrow at the police station."

"Don't even think of it, take the day off."

"Thanks Sam goodnight" Sheridan and Luis walked back to the cottage together. Once they were inside Sheridan broke down in tears again.

"Luis I will never be able to forgive myself for having never said goodbye to my father. I know..."

"Sheridan stop thinking like that. You didn't do anything wrong. Besides we don't know for sure that Alistair was in the limo. Now let's go to sleep.

You have to take it easy. Remember you are carrying twins and this added stress isn't got for either you nor the babies."

The next day, Luis received a call from Sam Bennett in the afternoon.

"Hi Luis it's me Sam. How are you and Sheridan holding up?"

"We're okay. Did you find out anything about who was in the limo"

"We have found the remains of two bodies. We don't know who was in the car. The only evidence we recovered from the fire was a gold ring and some other small findings that the fire department managed to salvage."

"So how will we know who died Sam?"

"We are going to need Sheridan and Julian to come down to the police station to see if they can identify any of these belongings we recovered. Perhaps they can shed some light on the matter."

"Alright Sam we are on our way."

At the police station, Sheridan, Luis, Julian, Ivy and Ethan were awaiting to see the evidence that had been recovered from the blaze.

Sam walked into the interrogation room and placed the remaining evidence on the table.

"Can any of you identify this ring. Have any of you ever seen it before."

"Why yes Chief Bennet, that ring belongs to my father Alistair." Julian said bearing no emotion in his tone of voice or facial expression.

"Oh my god Luis that's his ring" Sheridan said sobbing. Luis pulled her in closer.

"It's ok Sheridan." Luis said in a soothing voice.

The other belongs seemed to be mostly Alistair's so everyone concluded he must have died along with one of his personal limo drivers.

Julian agreed to make all the necessary arrangements for his father's funeral.

Later that night, Julian sat in the library and smiled.

"Father is dead. My plan worked and now I own all of the Crane empire. Sheridan is so distraught over the death of father, while I couldn't be happier." He took another sip of his brandy as he went over in his head what he was going to inherit.

The next day, the Cranes along with Luis sat in Alistair Crane's lawyer's office awaiting details of Alistair's will.

The man looked over the papers and popped in a video into his vcr that Alistair left behind.

"It seemed that Mr. Crane has explicit instructions as to were his money and the Crane empire is to be left behind to. He has asked that we listen to his final words that he taped - now let me see the date of this tape says - no this can't be right."

"What is it Mr. Hoffman?" Sheridan asked.

"Well Mrs. Fitzgerald, it appears this tape was made yesterday, but that can't be right."

"Well father did know everything about everyone maybe he knew when he was going to die." Julian said.

Sheridan eyed her brother and it seemed like Julian was delighted that his father was dead.

"Well Mr. Hoffman I can't give you an explanation for my father's actions, but please play the tape I am anxious to see it."

"Alright" Mr. Hoffman popped the tape into the VCR and pressed play.

Suddenly, Alistair's face appeared on the screen and he began to speak. "Well if you are seeing this than it means that I am dead. Before I tell you who is entitled to what portion of the Crane empire, I would like to reveal the truth about some secrets that I have been harboring for long enough...."

Sheridan and Luis looked into each other eyes each wondering what Alistair was going to say. Julian was not even paying attention he just wanted Alistair to tell him that he would be inheriting the entire Crane empire.

"First, Ivy I think it's time you told Ethan the truth about his father. For his own sake he deserves to know tell him soon. Second, Sheridan I am sorry for not being there when you needed me, but you know I still love you.

Finally, in regards to my will, the entire Crane empire will be turned over to Ethan Crane."

"What" Julian said chocking on his brandy and spitting all out.

"You heard me Julian. I am glad Sheridan's husband is here -because Luis you are going to have to arrest Julian for planting a bomb in my limo and trying to kill me. I heard his plans yesterday and so I let you all think I was dead. Believe me I am alive and well and I have the evidence needed to lock

Julian away for life. So Officer Lopez-Fitzgerald you have a criminal that must be dealt with severely. He needs to be locked up and throw away the key."

Everyone was shocked that Alistair was alive and that Julian had attempted to kill his own father.

"You can't prove anything father - you won't get away with this." Julian yelled as Luis handcuffed him.

"How could you Julian - try and murder your own father." Sheridan said.

"It simple sister dear - father has always wanted me to do his dirty work and he always said I was a failure someone who screwed up royally - time after time. I wanted the Crane empire for myself and having to suck up to Alistair Crane for all these years has taken its toll on me."

Luis took him out of the room and called Sam Bennet to send a police car over right away.

"Oh Sheridan I forgot to tell you what you inherit. You will be inheriting 20 million dollars, I mean its only fair. You were supposed to have inherited this money once you married Luis, however I didn't oblige. But now after realizing who really was the one I should have been paying attention you - its the least I can do."

"Thank you father..but,"

"No buts Sheridan just accept the money and not another word. I won't be seeing you again so take care. And Ethan if anything goes wrong with the Crane empire I will be giving you a call."

"Yes grandfather, I understand."

Sheridan ran out of the room and rushed outside to see Julian being driven away by Sam Bennet, seated in a patrol car.

"Oh Luis you didn't hear the good news."

"What Sheridan?" Luis asked.

"My father gave me 20 million dollars."

"He what!"

"I inherited 20 million dollars."

"But Sheridan..."

"Luis stop it" She said putting her finger to his lips. "I don't want to hear another word on the matter. I know how you feel about living my lifestyle. But the money could be donated to charity, and your family could use it. We need it for the babies education, and..."

"Alright Sheridan you win. But I am not going to quit my day job."

"I didn't ask you to." Sheridan said. Luis pulled her into a kiss. And it seemed that things were going to be alright. They were back in Harmony with their family and friends and the twins were due to arrive in 3 weeks.

Suddenly, Sheridan started to experience a sharp pain in her stomach.

"Ahhh, Luis I think the babies are coming."

"Sheridan are you sure?" Luis asked.

"Of course...ahhhh..."

Luis hurried inside and told Ivy and Ethan. Luis decided he would drive Sheridan to the hospital and Ethan would be in the back seat helping Sheridan in cause anything happened. Ivy called the hospital to inform Sheridan's doctor she was going into early labour and to reserve a room for her at the hospital.

As they drove to the hospital Luis couldn't stop thinking that soon he would be a father.

Check in at the hospital was not that complicated because Ivy had already called and Sheridan's doctor Mrs. Johnson had been notified. Her room was prepared and Luis and Ethan were helping Sheridan to her room. Her contraction were minutes apart and she was certain it wouldn't be much longer.

"Oh" Sheridan said

"What is it?" Luis asked.

"My water just broke."

The nurse entered the labour room and grabbed some towels to help Sheridan because her water had just broke.

"You two must be the expecting couple, what are your names?"

"My name is Luis and this is my lovely wife Sheridan." Luis said smiling.

"Pleased to meet you both. Now Sheridan we have to get you out of those clothes, here put this gown on. The bathroom is right over there."

"Thanks...um..."

"Mary, my name is Mary."

"Thanks Mary" Sheridan said.

"Luis I am going to need you help..."

Sheridan's labour had progressed slowly. The initial exam had shown that Sheridan was dilated to four centimetres.

Luis called his family and friends later within the hour to inform everyone that it would be awhile until the twins arrived, but not very long.

Meanwhile back at the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence, Pilar, Theresa, and Miguel were getting ready to leave to go to the hospital.

"I can't believe I am going to be a grandmother - and twins" Pilar said with a stunned look on her face.

"I know mama, isn't it wonderful." Theresa said

"Yeah, Theresa it's great I can't wait to find out if its going to be two boys or two girls or.."

"Alright Miguel we have to get going."

"Yes Mama you're right."

"Theresita have you seen my keys."

"Yes mama, there right here." Theresa said handing them over to her mother.

Back at the hospital, Ethan and Ivy awaited for any news from Luis regarding Sheridan's condition. So far Luis had reported that Sheridan was doing fine.

"Alright Sheridan everything seems alright the baby's heartbeats are fine and your contractions are two minutes apart."

"You're doing great Sheridan." Luis said in a low and calming voice.

"Sure you don't have to do any of the work Luis" she said to him with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"I know sweetheart, I know"

Finally Sheridan's doctor, Dr. Melissa Johnson walked into the room.

"Ok Sheridan nurse Lilton told me of your present state and let me just take another look here. Ok Sheridan you're six centimetres dilated and ninety percent effaced. You're contractions are going to get harder and longer.

Would you like an epidural Sheridan."

"Ahhh, Yesss" Sheridan said after another painful contraction.

"C'mon Sheridan you can do it. You are going to have to start pushing now."

Luis said. "Push Sheridan. Great push again...."

Sheridan pushed and then she took a deep breath.

"Okay Sheridan push...now take a breath and push." Luis crouched down and whispered in her ear. "Have I told you how much I love you."

Sheridan looked up at Luis and said "Yeah lots of times, but I love hearing you say that."

"You're doing great Sheridan I can see the head" Dr. Johnson said.

Sheridan squeezed Luis' hand tightly which signalled to Luis that another hard push was coming.

"Here it comes." Dr. Johnson said. "Okay Sheridan I need one more push, now this is it, push!"

Sheridan pushed will all her strength and Luis bit his lip as Sheridan's grasp on his fingers tightened.

"Listen to that" the doctor said as Sheridan and Luis' baby girl cried.

"Congratulations you two, you have a beautiful baby girl. Time of birth 9:38 pm, Tuesday June 2nd."

"Oh Sheridan she's beautiful are baby girl is so beautiful. She's got blond hair and blue eyes - she looks like you my angel."

Sheridan just smiled because she was so exhausted.

"Okay kids, we've got another one to deliver. So Sheridan we need you to push again."

"Come on Sheridan you can do it do one hard push."

Sheridan pushed with all her remaining strength. The doctor saw the head and asked Sheridan for one more strong push. Suddenly, the second baby slid easily and the doctor held Sheridan and Luis' second child.

"It's a boy" She shouted.

Sheridan looked at Luis who was speechless and looked at Sheridan and said.

"I love you so much. Look at our little angels."

"Sheridan what are we going to call them."

"Well I want our little girl to be named after my mother - Marian."

"That's a lovely name. Marian Lopez Fitzgerald. What about the boy?"

"You decide Luis."

"How about Brandon. I have always liked that name."

"That's a nice name." Luis kissed Sheridan's forehead softly.

"Would you like to hold you son Luis. And Sheridan you can hold your daughter."

"Your son was born at 9:45pm. We just need to put the ID bracelets on them.

There we go. I'll be back in a little while to take your babies to the nursery room."

Luis looked down at his little angels and then over at Sheridan.

"You're a very strong woman sweetheart. I don't think I would have been able to deliver these babies."

"Look at our babies Luis they are so beautiful."

At that moment Luis and Sheridan were happier than they had ever been.

Nothing could go wrong. No one could ruin there happiness.

Meanwhile, back in unknown location Alistair Crane watched the monitor as his baby girl held his granddaughter in her hands. I wish I could see them

Sheridan he thought to himself. At least your brother is in jail and he won't be stirring up any more trouble.

At the Harmony Police Station - Julian was sitting in his cell.

"I want to make a phone call guard."

"Alright"

He unlocked the cell and lead Julian to the pay phone. Julian dialled a number and talked into the receiver.

"Listen here I need you to carry out with the orders I gave you last night." Julian said in a low voice.

"Ok Mr. Crane we will do as you asked, but only because you paid us in full."

"Just make sure it works this time. I can't afford any more mistakes being made."

Luis opened the door to the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence while Ethan helped Sheridan take the babies out of there baby seats.

"Sheridan I am so happy that you found Luis. I mean look at you, I have never seen you happier."

"I know Ethan I am happy. Ethan?"

"Yes Sheridan."

"Why did Luis drive us to his mother's house?"

"Oh" Ethan said trying to hide his laughter. "I am not sure I think he just wanted to stop and see his family before he heads home with you and the babies."

At that moment Brandon smiled at Sheridan. She looked at him and all she could think about was how much Brandon reminded her of Luis. He was so adorable and Marian was so beautiful with her blonde hair and big blue eyes.

As Sheridan and Ethan got the babies out of there seats, Luis ran inside the house to make sure all the preparations were set. He had arranged to throw Sheridan a homecoming party with all her friends and family to celebrate the birth of their beautiful twins. Ethan had arranged with Luis to help stall Sheridan while Luis ran inside and made sure everything was in order.

Suddenly, Luis came outside and ran up to Sheridan.

"Ethan you can on inside, and help bring the bags in. I am going to help

Sheridan bring our children inside."

"Sure" Ethan said with a smile on his face.

"What are you up to Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald?" Sheridan asked with a smile on her face.

"Nothing sweetheart I just wanted to show off our beautiful babies to Theresa and Miguel and Mama one more time."

"Oh Luis you're incorrigible."

The two of them walked up the path headed towards the door as Sheridan carried Brandon and Luis carried Marian in his arms. Luis carefully turned the doorknob and Marian started to cry.

"Oh Marian - baby don't cry. Daddy's here. Shhh." Marian started to calm down and Sheridan just watched as Luis soothed his daughter with calming words.

Luis opened the door and came inside he turned on the lights and everyone jumped up and shouted "Surprise"

Sheridan was overjoyed and completely shocked that so many of her friends and family had arranged to throw her a surprise homecoming. She looked up at the banner. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lopez-Fitzgerald. Your babies are adorable.

She just leaned it toward her husband and said "Luis was this your idea?"

"Yes it was. I wanted to surprise you."

"Well you did surprise me, I wasn't expecting this."

She kissed Luis on the lips and everyone on the room diverted there attention to the young couple kissing each other.

"Awwww" everyone said in unison.

Luis just smiled as he broke of the kiss.

"I think we had better great the guests"

"I know, but later I get you all to myself and I have another surprise for you."

"You mean there's more?"

"Um hmm" Luis said nodding his head.

"Oh come on Luis what is it?"

"Oh Sheridan you'll just have to wait."

"Ok Luis, but it had better be worth the wait."

"Oh it will be."

Luis and Sheridan went of to talk to the guests and show everyone in Harmony there beautiful baby girl and boy.

Meanwhile in some unknown place. Alistair watched as Julian prepared to destroy Sheridan's happiness despite the fact that he was behind bars.

"Oh Julian you won't get away with this. You have done enough damage and you maybe have tried to kill me, but you won't try and kill the one person Sheridan loves. I won't allow it."

With that Mr. Crane ordered his driver to take him to the airport immediately. He was going to take a private jet back to Harmony to foil Julian's master plans once and for all. However he feared he would be too late.

Few hours later:

Back at the Lopez-Fitzgerald residence, most of the guests had wandered into the backyard since it was a nice sunny day out. Sam and T.C. were barbequing hamburgers and hotdogs while everyone else enjoyed the afternoon, by talking or dancing. Miguel and Charity were talking with Sheridan. While Luis was talking to his sister Theresa. The party seemed to be a success and everyone was enjoying themselves immensely. Suddenly, Charity started to have a premonition.

"Oh my god Sheridan. Someone is in danger - someone is about to be killed.

It's...someone...you love Sheridan...oh my god....Luis....it has to....be....He is in danger...Sheridan."

Sheridan started to panic and her face want pale. She searched the garden for Luis and found that he was safe. He was on the other side of the garden talking with his sister Theresa. She breathed a sign of relief and turned her attention back to Charity.

"Charity, Luis is fine he is talking with Theresa and he does not appear to be in any danger. I am sure you just got a chill or maybe...."

Just then out of the corner of Sheridan's eye she spotted someone. It appeared to be a figure hiding behind something. She could not quite make out the person's face, but what she could clearly make out was a shiny long black object planted in the man's hand. She gasped as she realized that the person was carrying a gun and he was aiming it right at Luis' chest.

"Noooo. Luis look out..." She screamed frantically trying to warn Luis.

"Noooo. Luis look out..." She screamed frantically trying to warn Luis.

It was too late Luis had been struck. And he fell to the ground. Sheridan rushed by his side and all she could think of was that her life would be over if Luis died.

"Nooo Luis. I am here baby. Right here beside you. You have to be alright. I love you so much and we have two beautiful children who need you."

Luis' eyes closed and he was losing a lot of blood. Theresa rushed inside to call 911.

"Hello 911 emergency, how can I help you."

"Yes my brother he's been shot and he is losing a lot of blood. We need an ambulance right away. Please hurry." Theresa said practically screaming into the mouth piece.

"Miss please come down. What is your location?"

"343 Arlington road. And please hurry."

Theresa slammed down the phone and rushed outside.

Sheridan looked at Luis and saw her life flashing before her eyes. All the special times they had shared. There wedding day. There honey moon. The birth of there children.

"Luis can you hear me? I need you to fight Luis. I need you, I love you so much, Please...don't...leave...me."

*FLASHBACK*

"Sheridan Crane do you take Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald do be your lawful wedded husband. To love and to cherish, in sickness and in health for as long as you both shall live." Sheridan turned to Luis and said "I do." "May we have the rings" Father Longan said. Luis took his ring for Sheridan from Miguel and Sheridan took her ring for Luis from Gwen. "Now Luis you may place the ring on Sheridan's finger and repeat after me. With this ring I thee wed."

Luis gently placed a beautiful solid gold band with one solitaire on Sheridan's ring finger and said "With this ring I thee wed." "Now Sheridan you may place the ring on Luis' finger and repeat after me. With this ring I thee wed." Sheridan took the solid gold band she had bought for Luis and placed it on his ring finger and said "With this ring I thee wed." "Now in the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." Luis pulled back Sheridan's veil and cupped her face. He pulled her in and they kissed for a few moments. Everyone in the cheer clapped and cheered. Once they broke of the kiss Luis said to Sheridan "I love you Ms. Lopez-Fitzgerald" "I love you too, Luis" Sheridan replied. "Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald"

*BACK TO REALITY*

"Oh Luis you can't die on me now..please Luis."

Luis was losing a lot of blood and in the distance you could hear the sound of sirens. The ambulance was quickly approaching and Sheridan was frantic.

As the paramedics hauled Luis into the back of the ambulance Sheridan jumped into the back of the ambulance. She tried to regain her thoughts so she could concentrate on trying to bring Luis back to her.

Meanwhile Luis was slowly walking towards the light and he could hear Sheridan's voice.

"Luis please...hold on...I love you." Tears trickled down her cheeks as she stared at her husbands' face.

Sheridan's voice was becoming softer and seemed to be farther away as Luis' walked towards the bright light. He was struggling to turn away, but his body was moving forward.

Just then one of the paramedics shouted

"We need to revive him we have no pulse."

Sheridan started to sob and cried out "Nooo Luis. Don't do this. I need you."

The paramedics quickly tried to get a pulse, but they were having no luck. As they approached the hospital, Sheridan started to turn pale as she realised the paramedics were failing to revive her husband. The paramedics wheeled Luis through the emergency doors and into the critical care unit. As Sheridan watched from outside the room through the clear glass doors she prayed that Luis would return to her.

"Please Luis...not now...there's...so much...you promised....you would always be beside me..."

She started to cry and as a nurse rushed out of the room. She stopped her and said

"How is my husband? Do they have a pulse? Please I need to know."

The nurse looked right into Sheridan's eyes and said

"I am sorry mam, but your husband is still in cardiac arrest."

"Noooo...Oh Luis..." Sheridan hit the wall and placed her head in her hands. She was sobbing and she couldn't bear the fact that if the doctors didn't have a pulse soon. Luis would be dead.

"This can't be happening. I........." Sheridan broke down in tears again.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Harmony....

Alistair Crane had arrived at the Harmony Police station and was preparing himself to face his son Julian Crane. The one who had attempted to kill him in order to obtain the family fortune and empire. As he rounded the corner, he stopped and came face to face with Julian.

"Father, what are you doing here. I never expected to see you here." Julian said.

"Well Julian it seems your attempt to kill Luis has worked. Luis has no pulse and they are trying to revive him at Harmony Hospital."

"Whatever do you mean father? How could I possibly kill Luis when I have been locked up here in this jail cell the whole time."

"Shut up Julian I know what you did."

"Well father it doesn't matter, because I have a pretty good alibi. No one can convict me of anything."

"Well maybe you're right. But I have something I plan to do Julian. That will make you pay dearly for what you've done. I think its payback time Julian. Didn't you ever learn no one messes with Alistair Crane." He said slowly approaching Julian.

Sheridan pulled herself together and conjured enough strength to look through the glass doors and at her husband. He appeared lifeless and all the doctors surrounding him trying to revive him, but to no avail.

"Luis...hold on...baby...."

"Clear..."

"Eleven minutes fifty five seconds."

"Clear..." Luis body jerked up, but still no pulse.

As Sheridan looked on her eyes were looking at the doctors and nurses who were losing hope.

"The spotlight says over twelve minutes." one doctor said.

"Another and we'll go again at 360. Clear."

Again Luis' body jerked up, but still no pulse.

They looked at the heart monitor and the pulse line was straight.

"We've done all we can. I'm sorry" one doctor said turning to Sheridan.

"Nooo you can't give up on him." Sheridan said sobbing.

Suddenly, Eve Russell rushed in and looked briefly at Sheridan.

"Do you want me to pronounce" the male doctor asked Dr. Russell

"No, you can't give up on him." Dr. Russell said.

"But, Dr. Russell its been over thirteen minutes, he's dead" the female doctor said.

"Go up to 400." Eve Russell said

"We lost him, let him go."

"I'm in charge here go up to 400 or I'll do it myself." Eve Russell said bluntly.

The female doctor rolled her eyes and become frustrated that Eve was giving her orders.

But she did as followed and they went up to 400.

"Clear." Luis body jerked upward, but still no pulse.

"Still no pulse."

"Give him another and go up to 400 again."

The male doctor looked at her and wouldn't budge.

"Do it." She shouted.

The doctor grabbed a needle and injected Luis in the chest.

"Clear..."

"Again.."

"Come on Luis." Sheridan begged. "Come on"

The nurse looked stunned and said "We got a rhythm. Don't ask me how, but he's back."

Sheridan was relieved.

The pulse monitor went from reading 0 to 21 instantly.

"AP is 80 over 50 and climbing. 90 over 50."

All the doctors in the room looked at Luis and were stunned. The nurse removed the oxygen mask and Eve Russell commanded that Luis be moved into the critical care unit.

Sheridan closed her eyes and thanked God that Luis was alive.

Meanwhile at the Harmony Jail.

"Well maybe you're right. But I have something I plan to do Julian. That will make you pay dearly for what you've done. I think its payback time Julian. Didn't you ever learn no one messes with Alistair Crane." He said slowly approaching Julian

Julian looked at Alistair and knew there was nothing he could do. Then out of the corner of his eye he stopped an object. His eyes bulged as he recognized the silvery object that Alistair was reaching for. Julian snapped and realized his father planned on murdering him.

Alistair grabbed his gun and pointed it right at Julian's chest.

"You see Julian you weren't expecting this, but the time has come for you to pay."

"You wouldn't do anything drastic father." Julian said while sweat dripped down his forehead and fear overtook control.

"I see your afraid Julian. Afraid of what I am capable of doing and if Luis dies you will have to suffer."

"But I told you..."

"Shut up Julian. I know what you did." Alistair walked closer towards Julian and watched the fear come over his son. His face was pale and Julian was beginning to shake.

Alistair squeezed the trigger and fired right into Julian's chest. A loud bang was heard throughout the hall of the jailhouse. And immediately a guard came rushing down the hall approaching Julian's cell.

"Mr. Crane what happened here?" The guard asked checking Julian for a pulse.

"He came at me and was going to kill me so I shot him."

"Your son is dead Mr. Crane he has no pulse."

"I am afraid you are going to have to come with me down to the police station and answer a few questions."

"Of course officer I would be happy to oblige."

As the guard turned his back to him, Alistair smiled and was satisfied that his task was complete.

Meanwhile back at the hospital...

Sheridan was sitting in a chair watching as her husband lay still.

"I knew you would come back to me. The doctors are calling it a miracle."

Tears started to roll down Sheridan's cheeks.

She squeezed Luis' hand hoping that he could hear her.

"You know I always wanted to find someone like you. A man who would love me from me, not from my money of because I was a Crane. These past two years have been the best years of my life and I thank God everyday to have found you."

Just then, she felt Luis' grip tighten on her hand.

"Luis...." She said eagerly

"Yes Sheridan...it's.." Luis said still groggy and half asleep.

"Shh don't speak. I am here and I will always be beside you." Sheridan said placing a finger on Luis' lips.

"Come.....he...re..." Luis said beckoning Sheridan to rest her head on his shoulder.

"Okay, but I don't want to hurt you."

Luis simply nodded as he affirmed that she could never hurt him.

She lay her head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around her possessively.

*Throughout the passing years, as all the world seems ever changing...we've shared our smiles and tears...of life with love that's so far ranging...*

As Sheridan's eyes drooped and she drifted off to sleep. A mysterious person quietly turned the door handle and entered the room. The individual looked at the sleeping couple doze off.

"I will tell you one day Luis..what has happened to me and why I never returned. Like your mother always used to say...the truth eventually comes out. And I will make sure that it does. But now is not the time nor the place. After all you and your lovely bride have gone through you do not need more grief and sorrow. Perhaps one day soon I can tell you all you have longing to know..."
