Minutes of Meeting held at Teuthill — 19th September 2005

Present: Audrey Davies, John Knox, Annette Dobb, Margaret Collier, Maureen Parker,

Mac Parker, Vincent Duff

Apart from having to find £32,000.00 we would have legal costs, insurance, registry fees etc.

Annette had made enquiries about the insurance and it could cost about £750 per annum, depending on the quarries. Annette would contact Rupert Adams who would be willing to meet with her and inspect the quarries. We would then have to decide on filling in the quarries or fencing them off and if there is water in the quarries, this could be more dangerous and for the amount of fill that would be required to fill the quarries, a waste tipping licence would be required.

Annette had also enquired about registering Friends of Harmer’s Wood Trust and this would cost £128.00 but would include everything to help us become a charity, with free advice also.

Audrey and Maureen to attend the Parish Finance meeting on Tuesday to ask if the Parish Council would be willing to pay for the registry of £128.00. This was done and they promised to bring it up at the next full Parish Council meeting.

Maureen had written to Mike Wellman CCC, on 19th September but had not heard back from him, she will write again.

John Knox said he would fill in the Vale Royal Fund form. We had applied to Frodsham Forward and Maureen had received a letter from them to say that they did not have the funds available and we could apply to Vale Royal direct.

Audrey to write to Mr Gee at Cholmondley thanking him for giving us the opportunity of buying Harmer’s Wood.

Audrey’s daughter had suggested getting in touch with the Hanson Environment Fund. Maureen will look into this.

Maureen also to find out about the awardsforall. Funding

Audrey had enquired about a bank account via the Post Office but Annette has since found out the Lloyds TSB in Frodsham would open a bank account for us with no charges for the first 18 months.

It was agreed that we would probably need about £500 in start up fees.

Audrey and Maureen to write a letter to the people in Hill Road North and Bates Lane to try and get pledges. We could also write to private companies for funds
