Post Centennial Reunion Update:
November 17, 2002
    Thanks so much to eveyone who attended the Harmelink Centennial Reunion.  It took EVERYONE to make it such a success!  We had a record-breaking number of attendees: 261.  Joanne Boeckman, staff writer of The Des Moines Register, was at Inspiration Hills to find out how we made it work.  She wrote a great tribute to the Harmelink Family and our reunions in the Sunday, 7/21/02 issue. 
     As chairperson of the 100th reunion, I am happy to say that it has been a rewarding experience.  My sister, Johna Van Roekel, and I are still looking for any volunteers to chair the next reunion.  It is tentatively scheduled for brunch Saturday, July 12, 2003.  Please contact either of us at the addresses on the opening page of this website. 
     A special thank you to all the family members who helped organize the many facets of this reunion.  Also thanks to the staff at Inspiration Hills.  Family is so important that we should continue to strengthen the ties that bind, through our love and prayers.
