This summer we are taking a trip to help the children at the Schriners Burn Hospitals.. I am a twice burned surviver myself and intend to inspire as many as possable. my second fire was this summer when my motorhome exploded with me inn it. this time i was burned siverily from the waste down.. I am (with FREEKS help) building a panhead, as close as possable to a stock 61 (I'm a 61 model myself). once built and snow leaves most of the hiway's we leave fairbanks alaska. we will ride to sacramento Ca to the first of for hospitals. we hope to spend a week or two at each hospital. we will be taking along fur mittens, mucklucks, and mushers hats to give too the children..to donate click here and e-mail me i'll tell ya how. cold is the absolute werst enemy of a burn. the children that can come outside (and quite a few can) may be inspired buy the fact that while in the prosess of recovering, from my second major burn I build a first class scoot and road it that far to see them.. there is hope after a burn.. the road to recovery is varry long and painfull and one must have hope to recover. This trip is going to cost quit a bit and it is all being done out of pocket and donations... we need fur in childrens sizes, nothing that we can't leagaly transport. most of the fuel is covered but we still need some... we need need tickets on the alaska marine hiway fairy for 2 to 6 motorcycles and 1chase car to carry all the furs |
