Sugar Hill

Sugar Hill extends from Edgecomb Ave. to Amsterdam Ave. and from 145th St. to 155th St.  The area was coined "Sugar Hill" after a wave of African American Immagration began to settle in the area.  Sugar Hill was the sweet and expensive area of Harlem where the richer citizens can literally look down into Central Harlem, where the poor residents resided.
