Lets go with a few links folks. I'll post some here over the next few weeks after I've gotten settled into my new apartment (I'm moving on the coming Friday, and I place my computer above the importance of clothes ;}). YAY! Here's one for the meantime. Don't be afraid to post your own links either. http://www.netmastersinc.com/secrets/108_essay.htm Interesting thoughts on the Yod, Sex and Immortality |

"The Invisibles", a comic book series by Grant Morrison, seems to carry many synchronisities to I/OH. JM is apparently a fan, and mentions the connections in his "secret" outline for the "Game Over?" book. Below is a link for a nice site related to the comic. Of particular relevence is the analysis link on the left hand side of the site - while many items listed for analysis are currently empty, the page is a good "jumping off" point for further exploration. I particulary enjoyed the analysis essay for "The Harlaquinade". ;) PS: I'm still having difficulty with the format of these posts - any help would be appreciated. http://www.barbelith.com/bomb/ |

Quite astute, Tlon. Indeed, it is my understanding that JM is a fan of Morrison, as are many of us here. What is your assessment of the correlation of the "fiction suit" in "Kissing Mister Quimper" with Mr. Matheny's "Living Book"? [You must insert your own HTML formatting. The above link is most interesting, and near the end mentions again (you guessed it) iron. The idea of deuterium contributing to ageing is quite novel and I wouldn't doubt it is possible, as nuclear events have happened before in our planet's long history. 142=7. |

That's some weird shit dude. Way back in the day (trip times) my friends and I used to go to born again X-ian meetings high as a kite on acid, mushrooms, or some strange concoction of the two. The general outcome was something like, "you kids are evil, and need to be saved", and then we'd go to McD's where they'd buy us redemption burgers. Seeing that this worked time and again we trained our evil Satanic psychodelic groupies to do the same, and presto, McRedemption burgers for all the starving street trippers! Oddly enough, not one of us was ever saved because we groomed our cronies to accept that original sin is a lie so no man need die for them. And the worshippers of that death cult had forsaken life for hatred and condemnation...tsk, tsk, tsk...so sad. That really is a weird site. |

On that note: Excerpts which actually appeared in various church bulletin or were announced in a church service: Barbara remains in the hospital and needs blood donors for more transfusions. She is also having trouble sleeping and requests tapes of Pastor Jack's sermons. Next Sunday is the family hay ride and bonfire at the Fowlers'. Bring your own hot dogs and guns. Friends are welcome! Everyone come for a fun time. The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon. This evening at 7 P.M. there will be a hymn sing in the park across from theChurch. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin. Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10. All ladies are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done. The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church basement Friday at 7 PM. The Congregation is invited to attend this tragedy. [My personal favorites] Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the back door. Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use large double door at the side entrance. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say "hell" to someone who doesn't care much about you. Don't let worry kill you off-let the Church help. Our next song is "Angels We Have Heard Get High" Really, now? |

physicists don't know how to handle time. when a quote from the tao te ching closes out an article on the cutting edge of theoretical physics you know they're desperate but maybe they'll learn something? http://www.nytimes.com/2001/06/19/science/19PHYS.html I wonder if Minkowski's paper "Space and Time" which supposedly asserts time as being a very different dimension from spatial 3D might hold a key for them |
