Reviews of August Movies
Collateral (8/6/04) 5: An LA taxi driver picks up a contract killer who makes him drive all night throughout the city so that he can kill off witnesses to a big drug trial. Great dialogue shot angles. Tom Cruise Alien Vs. Predator (8/13/04) 3: Two great movie franchises put together in a war underneath the ice of antarctica. The only problem is that they barely fight and they made it fit into a PG-13 audience.
Open Water (8/6/04) 2: The true story of a vacationing couple who get left behind while scuba diving in shark infested water. A very poor shot film and pointless storytelling.
Without a Paddle (8/20/04) 3: After the death of a childhood friend, a group of old friends come together to go camping in the counrtyside of Oregon. Alot of teenage humor and whacky fun. Seth Green
Hero (8/27/04) 4: Another asian fighting film about three assassins and a lone warrior who attempt to kill the leader of a chinese land. Definitely great fight scenes and Christian references. Jet Li
