| The number one pick for 2004 on my list is Saw. Thjs brilliantly done limited budget film shows the blood and gore can still come with a great story. The audience is guessing to the very end to figure out the wonderful crime game put together for the two main characters. | |||||||||||||||
| The runner up in 2004 goes to the Disney historical adventure National Treasure. The combination of somewhat real American history and heist gives a great equation for film greatness. From running through the National Archives to riding a colonial elevator to historical artifacts, this film brought history to the present. | |||||||||||||||

| Falling in the middle of the list this year is the fourth film by acclaimed suspense director M. Night Shymalan. The Village has several great twists and wonderful filmic techniques to establish the mystery. A new villian, a new spidey suit and more subplots brought the comic hero back to life and surpasses that of the original film.
