NAVODAYA FRIENDS
Navodaya in brief ...... It is a residential school under the ministry of HRD Govt. of India. The purpose of Navodaya( New Rise) was to impart education to the rural and economically feeble people. It was the dream project of Late Rajiv Gandhi Ex.PM India. Earlier it was Navodaya Vidayalya but later in 1990s our school was renamed to Jawahar Navodaya Vidayalya.
Navodaya was the place where I came to know what a life means ? i came to know the difference between good and bad ? how the people live together ? what is friendship? How to live / eat / dress ? a lot... after all I spent 7 years of my life in Nav. It was mid September 1988 and i was merely 10 year old when I joined the Nav in VI std. Later I left the Nav in April, 1995 after completing my XII Std. This span of 7 years with same people , same teachers, same mess ,same building playground etc.... has everlasting impression on my soul.
We were only 34 people when we joined the Nav. Among 34 we were around 15 people who remain together throughout Nav life. After pass out in X Std some of our friends left for other navodayas to pursue their carrier in Arts and commerce stream. During IX and X std we were joined by some Keralite(all were having their name starting with 'S') and later by Agra guys in XI and XII std.
We went through a disciplined life during Nav we use to wake up early did exercise, breakfast, class, remedial classes,games,dinner,self study, and finally sleep that was our routine ..quite cumbersome.
Mr. N D Gehtodi was the principal when we joined later we saw two more principal Mr R C Sharma followed my Miss Veena Dangwal.
Other school teaches were .. Mr. MC Sharma(Hindi) , Mr V S Chauhan(Hindi), Mr V P Sharma(Hist.) , Mr Narendra Singh (PET), Mr AP Sharma(PET), Mr Sanjay Shukla, (Bio.)Mrs Naithani(Geo.), Mr Jabbar Hussain(Geo.), Mr Yadav(Geo.), Mr. G S awathi(Bio), Mr Lal Bahadur(Phy.), Miss Veena(Eng.) , Miss Sutapa bhomick(Music), Miss Laxmi rawat(Eng.), Miss Verma(Eng.), Miss jtotsana (SUPW), miss Sarita(Chem.), Miss Margret(malayalam), Mr John(Malyalam), Mtr GS Awasthi(Bio), Mr Saha (maths)Mr CB Thakur(math), Mr. RK chaudhary(Phy.)Mr KK Tiwari etc. i think I might had missed out very few people.
