MaanjaB : You cant find the meaning of this word in any dictionary or thesaurus. People come out with lot of imagination when they hear this word. Some are very funny. One of my friend asked �Does this refer to big boobs?�. I still cant understand what made him think like that. But the fact is that it means nothing. We five roommates have christened our group as MaanjaB. And this whole essay is about those four people.I am proud to be one among them. Deepak Shankar, BalasubramaniYan(he is very much concerned about the Y in his name, he is even ready for a dual if you miss this Y while writing his name),Hari Prasanth(everybody call him as pisthu,but nobody knows why, even he himself doesn�t know why)and the final and most important of our roommates is Paneer Selvam. To add a point, never in this world you can find such a contrasting and of course interesting five different personalities. We five graduated from the same college CIT(Coimbatore Institute of Technology). The name itself means a lot for us. This is the place were we learnt what life is all about. This is the place, which united us and bonded us together. In the last days of our college, we were staying in a rented house very near to our college. A nice double bed room flat. This house shaped our career in a bit more refined way. We enjoyed each and every day of our stay in this house.



Deepak alias Deepu or Gunda

Deepak Shankar(DUBUCK), a name which I like very much for no particular reason. We call him as DUBUCK(somebody said it means �donkey�s cock� but I am not sure). He has such an innocent face, which gives a very wrong impression for a stranger. He cares more about his ass and stomach than anything else in this world. Please don�t under estimate him with this statement. He is a genius and I mean it. If you have any doubt in physics, chemistry, maths, electronics, communication�etc, he is the right person you should contact. He is such a talented person I have ever seen. However, the greatest disadvantage is that he relates everything to his ass and his ass hole.



Balasubramaniyan alias Bals alias Kaaka

Balasubramaniyan(KAKKA) a dark fellow with bright thoughts. KAKKA in tamil means the bird CROW. But very recently I know kakka has many different meanings around this globe. KAKKA in kannada means shit. You must have seen people addicted to drugs but he is very different as he is addicted to his sleeping habit. Only after seeing him, I believed that a person could sleep continuously for a week. He is a guy from a village. Some say it is remote village. But I am really astonished by his attitude. He always looks out for new things. A guy worth to be in IIT. What to do he succeeded only in making the last two letters of it in CIT. I think he felt that too much of �I� sounds a bit egoistic. You can never figure out what is he going to do next as his decisions are easily influenced by his people and environment



Hari Prashanth alias Pisthu

Hari Prashanth (PISTHU), a very interesting personality. We call him as pisthu.. Sometimes he is very reasonable but many a times he is crazy. He always makes our group lively with his funny actions and thinking. He is a very good entertainer. He is a strong disbeliever of Murphy�s Law. If there are n ways of doing a job and there are (n-1) ways of doing it wrong, he always feels that he will end up with the last one way of doing it right. Nevertheless, many a times he fails. He has done many things, which we thought impossible. He is a very hard working person. In short, he is a guy know for his positive attitude towards everything. I mean everything. For example, he even feels that one day he will get beautiful girl as his girl friend. Though he knows, it is infeasible.



Paneer alias Panni

Paneer Selvam, a very important person in MaanjaB. A man who proclaims himself as a chemical engineer. But he knows everything else in this world(except chemical engineering). A faithful disciple of Dr. Abdul Kalam. Of course, he shows some instincts of becoming a scientist. He reads lot of books. No two books will be of same subject. To be frank my reading habit increased because of him. He is very much interested in science, particularly physics. Other than reading, he spends most of his time browsing about atom bombs, military advancements, research and many more. He can very well talk for days about nuclear bombs, latest missile technology, stealths, tomahawks and even UFOs. However, when you ask him what Chemical Distillation means, he will give the definition of evaporation that too a wrong one.

Epilogue

MaanjaB is all about these four people along with me. I hope, to an extent I have substantiated my point that we five are contradictory but interesting personalities. The factor that is common among us is that nothing is common between us. Both physically and mentally, we are different. We have our own ways of doing things and perceiving things. So you might be wondering what binds us together. I have a very simple and plain answer for this question. Its just our friendship and nothing else. Everyone in MaanjaB has his own part in every other�s success. In our book of happiness and sorrow, everybody has scripted his own contribution. This is all about my perspective of MaanjaB.
