| Pandit Haridas Ganguly is the nephew of Late Binode Behari Ganguly. Since his early youth, he has been devoted to Classical Music. After his graduation from B.M. College, Barisal, he cam to Kolkata and had his grooming in Music from his uncle Binode Behair Ganguyly. He got his ear treained from his grandfather Late Nakuleswar Ganguly, a Sitarist of outstanding caliber. After his uncle's death, Pandit Ganguly started his learning from Late Chinmoy Lahiri and at last from Late Bade Golam Ali Khan. |

| The tabla is one of the most popular instruments in India, and as well neighboring Pakistan. The tabla is actually two drums; the smaller right hand drum is called the dahina or tabla. And the larger left hand drum is called the baya or dagga. The dahina is made up of Indian Rosewood. The Baya is made up of copper or brass and is generally nickel plated.. |
