Ringos Mills, Fleming County, Kentucky
The Hargett Royse Cemetery is located near Ringos Mills, in Fleming County, Kentucky.  The first known internment at this cemetery was in 1839, and the last known was in 1900.

Headstones in this cemetery were transcribed by Caren Prater in 1979 and updated in 1999.  There are several unmarked graves.  Known surnames in this cemetery include:  Hargett, Royse, Reeves, Gilmore, Molton, Hurst, Hunt, Overton, Walton, Swim and Saunders.

A recent visit (11/9/02) to this cemetery evidenced the effects of nature and neglect on this cemetery.  Several of the headstones recorded by Caren on her previoius visits could no longer be found.

This cemetery is in danger!  It is overgrown with brush, weeds and briars.  There are several large fallen trees and many small trees that need cut.  There are numerous sunken graves and broken or hidden headstones.

Directions to the cemetery:  From Interstate 64, Exit number 133, go north on KY 801 3.5 miles, 801 will dead end at KY 158, turn left; go 2.3 miles and turn left on Lower Lick Fork (Route 3304); turn right on the first gravel road (about .15 miles); go one tenth of a mile on gravel road and the cemetery will be on your left in a large wooded area.
