IN SEARCH FOR THE ETERNAL......
There are few questions which haunted me for years, which prompted me to think in this direction. Why some people are born with silver spoon and others are denied even the basic amenities of life ? Why at the time of birth itself there is such a huge difference ? Whether we are guided by our destiny or freewill ? Whether the whole world is guided by some divine laws or randomness? Let me share with you the thoughts that I have regarding this....
In search for it the first thing I did was to search for the source of life. Life ..whether it is a random combination of chemicals or has it some divinity ? I don't think life is formed by the random combination of chemicals. Its impossible for me to believe suddenly all the conditions conducive for life is there and it is formed. Darwin the proponent of theory of evolution at the end of life said "I searched for life throughout my life but at the end it slipped through my fingers". So life cannot come from matter, it has to come from life.
So the natural question next arises is what is the need of God ,it can be due to a power. But it is logical to think that if there is an organization there is an organizer. Its not hard to find the wonderful harmony that exits between different living beings in this planet. Also it is easy to see the beautiful design of this universe, again if there is a design there should be designer.
All these and due to many more I'm a believer of existence of God. Mere intellectual adjustment that God exists or mere ritualism can't help, I believe. what is important is the realization of this subtle truth. He is subtler than the subtlest. So hasty conclusions with out proper investigation will be foolish. The first step towards it is the proper understanding of our self and the interrelationship between various living entities and the divine laws that everybody has to abide by. The golden rule "ignorance of law is not an excuse" holds here also. So earlier we know better our life will be.
Next thing to answer was whether God has a form or He is all pervading, omnipresent (the concept of Brahman in literature) .Many like osho has the view that He is all pervading and some others strongly condemns the belief of formless God.
What I usually found in people towards Him is fear, fear of the unknown. They go to churches or temples either for some material benefits or the fear that he'll do some harm if we don't do that. What we need is the infinite and unconditional love for him, for that he gave us a chance to live together, to love each other. Our mind should be filled with infinite gratitude, for He provided us with this wonderful moment. Then our minds won't be prisoner of prejudices and narrow confinements created by caste, creed, color, profession or country. We'll just fly ....of course together, that feeling is inexplicable.
The progress towards him will be gradual. We may fall down in that attempt, but the enthusiasm to realize him is more important. Also in that journey we'll get glimpse of Him which is powerful enough to tackle all the daily chores and hassles with smile. Once we are in touch with him, and discovers the eternal relationship with Him we are never lost to him and He is never lost to us. Then our mind is not tainted by the silly material pleasures, but filled with infinite energy...that's true freedom.
