Freshmen entering into the hallowed halls of Carbon Hill High School must know the necessary means of survival in order to make it through the day. For inasmuch as happiness can be found at this excellent school, great sorrow can come to those who do not follow the following instructions, henceforth known as the RULES.
Section 1
How to Handle CLASS:
While enrolled in Carbon Hill High, you will find yourself in a classroom setting. For most of your core classes, you will be with other freshmen, people of your own age. However, there may arise a situation, especially in the case of electives, in which you find yourself a member of a class with students of higher grade than you. This is no cause to panic, just relax and follow this advice. Primarily, you must never act immature. This just lowers your standard in the eyes of those older than you. Treat everyone older than you with the respect they deserve. This includes teachers. A teacher should always be treated politely until there comes a time in which they repeatedly treat you with disrespect. Then it is your option whether or not to continue to be civil (though it is highly recommended that you do so). Never sleep in class- you have not earned the right to sleep yet. You will be informed by the school administration when you have earned that right. Turn in any homework you complete on time. After all, what’s the point in wasting your time doing the mess if you don’t get credit for it anyway? Don’t make a mess with your break stuffs (drinks, chips, etc.) because it will take privileges away from those who weren’t raised in a barn.

Section 3
Other things to know
Following is a description of things you should know in order to get along well as a freshman. Never try to be popular. As long as you’re a freshman, there’s no chance of it happening anyway. If you ever try to betray a popular student, make sure it’s good enough to bring them down, for it will backfire and they will destroy you in retaliation. Always keep a pencil, car keys, and a universal hall pass on your person at all times. NEVER get caught. It’s not illegal unless they catch you. And above all, STAY OFF THE RAMP!
The aforementioned RULES are but a basic outline of the skills necessary for freshmen coming into the world of high school at Carbon Hill to possess. Throughout your freshman experience you may discover more universal RULES that are as important as those found here. It is your solemn duty to add to these RULES, but never take away from them, for without guidance, posterity is lost, and as you have been guided, so shall you guide others.
