I have been thinking about the prospect of a god, and while I still reject all religion I have come to the conclusion that there is, in fact, a Supreme Being. His name is Loki, and he is completely insane. This is the only explanation for the combination of bad, good, and insanely funny in the universe. A good God wouldn't have made the bad, and an evil God wouldn't tolerate the good. A sane god (or the universe itself) couldn't have engineered such ludicrous things as the platypus, or eyebrows, or the law of gravity for that matter. For further proof, take a look at human history. It is riddled with absurdities (the French Committee of Public Safety was responsible for the Reign of Terror, etc.) It all just wouldn't exist - unless an insane mind created it. That narrowed it down to all the insane gods throughout history. I conclude that God is really Loki because of his malicious streak. He may be a trickster god and very mischevious, but he's also pretty damn mean when the occasion demands it. He tricked Baldur's blind brother into killing the god of beauty and poetry for no reason. The evilness is the only excuse for people being diagnosed with diabetes and cancer, on top of their back problems, knee problems, high blood pressure, and a number of other ailments. (The combination of insanity and downright meanness is responsible for diseases such as narcolepsy and tourette's syndrome.) God is a bastard, and evil the people worship under the guise "Almighty Loving Father." People are ignorant, immoral sheep, incapable of seeing the malevolent deity they worship for what he really is. Christians are such idiotic, simple-minded, hypocritical, self-righteous fucking bastards. I wish they would all die a bloody, violent death. Goddamn theist bastards. Unfortunately I have discovered a fairly effective outlet for my frustrations- Scholar's Bowl. This means I'm not going off on Bobby as much. It also means that, since I have found other people who share my views (Blake and Mike, especially) I am much more likely to blurt things out, as my opinions are now much more valid since they're shared. In a way, Blake and Mike just feed my fury, making me hate religion more and more sicne I know I'm not alone. it's a little bit funny when you think about it. As non-conformist as I am, I wouldn't allow myself to hate religion as much as I wanted to. Now, though, I am filled with unquenchable fury. I hate Christians. I hate all those who hold beliefs so strongly that they will go to such extremes to keep them from being threatened by things such as original thought. Thse who kill, conquer, and convert are at the bottom of the gene pool. They are inferior for their belief in a god. And they don't even know their god's name- Loki. |
