Hardway Makes it Look Easy

It is time for the Wednesday Hardway report. This week found our heroes facing off against two teams relatively new to the Lighthouse, Swoopes and Scared Hitless.  Both teams looked very eager to make a name for themselves by taking down the veterans from E-town.  When the whistle blew, however, Hardway served, dug, and blocked their way to a sweep. 

“None of the games were ever in doubt, really,” noted superstar Tim Brandt. “It was like the olden times back at UCO, we were all more focused on making fun of our teammates that we were on the outcome of the games.”

Intimidation came in the form of a handlebar mustache on Matt Simpson’s face. An American flag bandana topped off the perfect volleyball ensemble.

            Not that Hardway needed it, but for the first time in a while two girls were present, giving them a full six-person team.  “Everything seems to be falling into place at the right time,” said hottest-guy-on-the-team Justin Park, “I can’t see any way we would ever lose another point, let alone entire game!”

            Hardway went 6-0 this week, improving its overall record to 10-2.  It may be too early to tell for certain, but so far, this group is proving to be comfortable at the top of the heap.
