| Tigers arrest Mahaska Co. Sheriff Stars, 12-8 The Tigers won their 7th consecutive game by beating the Mahaska Co. Sheriff Stars on Tuesday, June 6th at McGriff Field in New Sharon. Carissa McBirnie went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's, Jenna Carrico added a 2-run double and Jaylin DeJong, Kimmie Renaud, Sarah Bowen and Nicole Brand all had RBI singles. Sydney McCulley doubled in the first inning and scored on McBirnie's single. Kimmie Renaud started the game and Nicole Brand provided two innings of relief, holding the Stars scoreless in the final inning of what was a tight game. The Stars' Jordan Ferguson pitched a complete game and benefitted from several stellar defensive plays. The win improves the Tigers to 10 wins and a loss on the year. The Tigers face the Bussey girls on Wednesday, June 8th at 6 PM. The game will be played at Reed Field in New Sharon. |
