"Harry trusted people way too much.  He should have bitten the sucker," Ted, Harry's brother. The Daily Tribune, Obit, 3/31/2002
Harold P. Gibbons, Harry, to his friends and family, was a kind, gentle soul.  He was born on February 12, 2002 to Maybel and Jonathan Gibbons, their 17th male to date.

At two weeks old, he was sold to Mr. Dick Grayson, who purchased Harry for his partner, Tony's, 27th birthday.  "I wanted to give him a present he'll never forget," said Dick.

Harry, being a patient gerbil, adapted to his surroundings well enough.  Unfortunately for him, his owners had other ideas.  The felching started soon after Harry's first week with the couple.

Maybel Gibbons says, "We never would have let dear Harry gone, had we known what those sick humans were going to do to him."

The time of death was recorded at 4:00am, Saturday, March 30, 2002.  The official cause of death is unlisted.

Harold P. Gibbons was survived by his mother and father, 16 brothers, and 21 sisters.
