i discovered Rasputina about 6 months ago, by sheer coincidence, and thank god i did!
unfortunately, they do not really exist anymore, due to each member finally going her own way, but noone really knows what the future holds for Rasputina.
as the pretty flowers, and graphics show, they are not a heavy band!..or even a metal band!...they are simply a great all-girl, goth band!...infact....they are just 3 girls on cellos....oh...did i mention that they like to play in corsets and victorian underwear?!
if you are already into goth music, then give them a listen!...if not, give them a listen anyway!....they may surprise you!......some of their songs have been umm...well...original!! hehehe...but all good stuff!!
for any marilyn manson fans out there as well, they have opened shows for him, and he did a remix of their most well known song- Transylvanian Concubine.
infact, Melora, the "leader",(haha...that sounds crap..sorry) has even played with Nirvana in the past.
