Ostara Rising
This is my side of what is really happening on our little journey of discovery. Enjoy!
Entry for December 26, 2007

So, life changes every day and so do B and I.  The house we were going to buy as an investment fell through due to some last minute stipulations the bank held out on telling us about til a couple days from the closing.  It was sad and I was very angry for Brian, he put a lot of work into getting it all together and pushed very hard to get it all done before the holidays, but the bank just didn't want to do it, and we could probably get a lawyer about it, but we won't.  Things happen for a reason I guess and it just isnt the time.

B and I need some good quality time together, it's been rough for us, being in a marriage and being on the journey we have been on since more than a year ago.  We also need time to get to know the town and connect on deeper levels with the friends we are making.  So, we have chosen to rent a house in town.  It will be about a 10 minute walk to town and 15-20 for me to walk to work.  I am truly excited about this move to town.  The house has a beautiful porch, bay windows, a back yard with a clothes line and garden space and a cellar.  The landlords are really cool and very down to earth ppl, hopefully they'll be good friends.

The Airstream will still be up on our land.  This is kind of our test to see if we like living in town.  Then we have our options of building the house on the land, living in town, living in town with a getaway on our land in the Airstream with gardens and quiet, or maybe even we will look back into the intentional communities around the town, which there are a lot.  But we do like to keep our options open and try things out to see what we really want.  At least we know the town we want to be in.  That's a big step since it could have been anywhere in the world.  Brian put a lot of work into taking down that barn, though, so if we decide not to build it will be a heavy choice, but I know he learned a lot from it and even through all the aches and complaints, he loved it, he really loved it.

We had a great holiday up in Michigan with my family and now we are going to be on our way to Cinci to see B's family and move all of our stuff to Athens.  YEA!!  A home, finally a place in one city big enough for all my remaining things, hopes, dreams and desires, with plenty of room enough for change, because truly, change is the only thing constant in our lives.

Love and Laughter,

Ostara and B
