A lot has happened since last we spoke. After B and I closed on the land we did a lot of camping there. We joined a UU church where I have met many really wonderful people. Then we went up to Michigan for my friend Mei Ling’s wedding and then to Ohio for B’s dads retirement party. We both have been pretty stressed and emotionally a lot has been going on. When we returned we, along with B’s parents, bought a 1969 Airstream. It’s in really great shape and helps us feel more at home than just living out of our tent. We recently hooked up the water so we don’t have to go to town everyday for it and we put up our mailbox, so now we can get mail. The donkey next door brays several times a day and makes me smile. All in all things are starting to look up for us, we’re making a home. I also had an interview with the director of a women’s shelter in town and was offered the job almost immediately upon returning home from it. I will be starting paid training as a shelter aid in several days. B is working on learning to listen to his body and heal his back, which continues to get worse. He is also reading a lot about building and making lots of plans. He is helping out several families building alternative houses as well. We plan to start in about a month on the basement. Of coarse B comes up with bigger better plans every day, so it may change! Josie is doing really great. She loves all the outside time and running around the property. The great thing is that it’s slowly, but surely, starting to feel like home. At some point we will post pictures of the Airstream on Snapfish. Talk to you all soon!
Love and Listen well.
