Bedding
Bedding is an essential item for every cage. There are different types of bedding, some of them not suitable for hamsters. A good type of bedding is the Carefress bedding. It is epecially good for hamsters with weak repiratory sytems. Another good type of bedding is Aspen bedding, also good for hamsters with weak respiratory systems.
Pine bedding is ok, but i wouldn't recommend it for hamsters with weak respiratory systems, as it had oils that may be harmful. My hamster uses pine bedding and he is healthy, so I can't complain.
A definite NO NO is cedar bedding. It is harmful for your hamster's respiratort system and can go damage. I do not recommend it. |
