A few more things about Jacky...
Jacky was such a special person. If you are reading this you should have your own precious memories of Jacky. Think of them often =)
Here are some small bits and pieces of memories that I have of Jacky that I would like to share...
Jacky absolutely LOVED Zubair...yeah, we know that, but she also LOVED Usher. He is "'SO HOT!' Is what she would gush, and she just couldn't understand why people like myself just did not agree! Jacky was a real party girl (as much as you could be at 17!) and she absolutely adored the song 'You Got It Bad.' I think she could identify with the lyrics, coz she had it pretty bad for Zubair at the time! (I know she won't mind me saying that, everyone knew anyhow!!!)
Jacky also really wanted a tattoo of the Chinese symbol of love (below) I think she would have got one the moment she turned 18...somewhere hidden so she wouldn't get into too much trouble! Love was such an important emotion for Jacky. She felt it deeply and was so sensitive, such a romantic. I think this tattoo would have suited her well -
As bright and bubbly as she is, Jacky lacked confidence in herself. She was extremely intelligent but was in no way aware of it. She was extremely humble and not at all conceited as a result of her abilities. As I only worked with her, I was not aware of the extent of her intellect until after she had died. Unfortunately I learned a lot about her after she had died that I wished I had known all along.
She had written a poem, which, given her death, is very eerie to read. It is almost as though she already knew her role in this life, and the next and was prepared for the end of this one, and for her next role, whenever they were to come.
This poem was read at the one year anniversary service of her passing. It was extremely touching, given the circumstances. It is a very large file, takes a while to load, but is well worth it. Please click below to view it.
