Steve Scheffler

Steve Scheffler's most recent CD, "Established", (of which his beautiful songs, "For You", "Lord You Are The One" and "Rejoice All Ye People", are a part) is a culmination of many years of writing. He has produced 14 albums of his own in his life span and hopes to continue to do so until Jesus comes back. He has also written a book on grace and has many teaching tapes available. A new CD is scheduled to be released this summer.

Steve was born in Riverside, California in December of 1952. He has traveled the world over due to his father's career in the United States Air Force. His exposure to the life styles and cultures of many third world countries shaped his heart and gave him a tremendous love for people. Coming to America in the early 60's and being exposed to the racial riots and then soon afterward to the horrors of the Viet Nam war, it wasn't long before Steve fell prey to drugs and disillusionments of life. This would be the platform of Steve's musical career, wherein he tried to get into the market by writing songs about the horrors of life, drugs and the need for loving one another. Ultimately becoming very ill from drug use, Steve was drawn into the satisfying graces of becoming a Christian in 1971. The whole of his music career changed as he, from then on, wrote all about the love and mercies of God. He is now residing in Hampton, Virginia, where he is assistant pastor of a local church and owns a recording studio in his home where he continues to write and produce music that gloifies the Lord. Steve travels occasionally to different parts of our nation sharing in song, word and prophecy.
