SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

              Can we say OUR
If our faith has no room for other people and their needs?

            Can we say FATHER
If we do not demonstrate this relationship in our daily living?

Can we say WHO ART IN HEAVEN
If all our interests and pursuits are in earthly, material things?

Can we say HALLOWED BE THY NAME
If we, who are called by God, are not holy?

Can we say THY KINGDOM COME
If we do nothing to bring about justice?

Can we say THY WILL BE DONE
If we are unwilling to carry out God's will?

Can we say ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
If we are unable to give ourselves to God's service?

Can we say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
If we ignore the needs of others?

Can we say FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS
If we harbor a grudge against others?

Can we say LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
If we choose to remain in a situation where we are likely to be tempted?

Can we say DELIVER US FROM EVIL
If we are unprepared to stand for the good?

Can we say THINE IS THE KINGDOM
if we fear what others say and do?

Can we say THINE IS THE POWER
If we do not show the power of God by loving others?

Can we say THINE IS THE GLORY
If we are seeking our own glory?

            Can we say FOREVER
When we are anxious about our own daily affairs?

            Can we say AMEN
Unless we can honestly say, "Cost what it may, this is my prayer?"

              Praying the Lord's Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven,
            Our father God, all harmonious.

            Hallowed be Thy name,
            Adored one

            Thy kingdom come.
Thy kingdom is come; Thou art ever-present.

Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven
Enable us to know - as in heaven, so on earth - God is omnipotent, supreme.

Give us this day our daily bread.
            Give us grace for today, feed the famished affections;

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
            And love is reflected in love;

            And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
And God leadeth us not into temptation, but delivereth us from from sin, disease and death.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever.
For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all and All.

It Does Not Once Say Me

You cannot pray The Lord's Prayer,
            and even once say "I".
You cannot pray The Lord's Prayer,
            and even once say "My".
Nor can you pray The Lord's Prayer,
            and not pray for another.
For when you ask for Daily Bread,
            you must include your brother.
            For others are included
            in each and every plea.
From the beginning to the end of it,
it does not once say "Me".
