| Peace... Overwhelming calm in the midst of the storm. |

| The servant had traveled many miles when he came to a riverbank. He untied the rowboat from the tree and got in, knowing he needed to cross the river. Suddenly, out of nowhere came a fast and furious storm. Rain poured from the darkened sky. The river current picked up as the wind began to blow. The servant tried to row the boat out of the rapid current to no avail. The canoe speeded along controlled by the forces of nature. The servant was frightened and cried out to his Master. "Lord, help me through this storm. It's more than I can handle. The canoe is racing down the river and I can't stop it. The darkened sky is causing me to lose my way. I cannot see. The rain is filling the canoe up with water." "Peace, My child." The Master spoke softly. "I promised to guide you through the storms. I will guide your path to peaceful waters." "But, Master, how can I have peace when there is none around me right now," the servant asked. "I will give you My Peace that fulfills beyond all the unrest and anxiety. It will keep you through the storm." The Master replied. The servant held out his hands to Heaven, "Give me Your Peace, Dear Father. Guide me through this storm as I stand on Your promises that are forever Truth." Silence fell upon the water. The storm had passed. The servant's clothes dried by the sunshine as he rowed to the other side of the river. Crawling up on the shore, he stopped to examine his wounds; which were minimal. "Thank you, Father. You always fulfill Your Word. Thank you for Your Peace!" Joy |
