Thanksgivin' time is near
It's almost been a year-
I'm tired of waitin'
'til that wonderful time is here!
We'll don our sunday best,
Invite our favorite guest-
Loved ones all around,
It truly will be blest!
Sumone will stuff the bird,
to the kitchen we will herd-
Oh My! don'tcha know ,
We'll all say a good word!
Mouth waterin' cakes and pies,
all spread before our eyes-
Auntie's peach preserves
They've even won 1st prize!
It is the perfect day,
I really have to say!
It's time to celebrate-
in a Thanksgivin' way!
We'll sit down in our chair,
then say our thankful prayer-
Good friends and family
Their company we shall share!
