GONE, BUT NOT FROGOTTEN!

Today I saw a small green frog

Just sitting in the road

I had to look more closely though

I thought it first a toad.

With cars flashing past

In fright it sat

Simply too scared to move

One false step

He’d be swallowed up

By a hungry tyre groove.

With cars flashing past

I sprinted fast

I ran to the little frogs aid

I scooped it up with soft, warm hands

It`s little life I saved

I took it home to mum and dad

My face beaming out with glee

And took out my old French cookbook

And ate his legs for tea!
