Hello everyone. It's Jeremy
WE are in some pretty wacky times here. Times that are new to everyone on the planet. This could possibly get very scary. So all I am asking of all of you folks to do is, hang on. As crazy as this war could get, it's easier to let go, and give up, forget that it's happening, or worse yet, try and forget what happened.
Try and figure out every little detail about this. How it could have happened. Why terrorists are trying to unravel western civilization. What will it take to solve this terrible conflict in the most humane way. Or, the most destructive way.
It's war again, just like those terrible stories we heard growing up. A long hard war. But now, there will be biological weapons, fancy macho missiles, A video game that we can't even imagine. But all too real.
We even had a big Hollywood movie of it, and the world still forgot about Pearl Harbor. I know, I didn't see it either.
The other thing about this is we can't forget to laugh. There's a reason that The Three Stooges were huge during the second world war. Also don't forget about Bob Hope, flying in and out of war torn countries, just to bring a smile to both the soldiers, and the people at homes faces.
We have too live life as usual, but we must keep our eyes and ears peeled, because this is going to make us grow up real quick folks.

Your pal,
Jeremy Taggart

Oh yeah, The show Glogson is talking about that Me, and Alex are working on is true. He'll keep you all posted on it.

Merry Christmas everyone! And Happy Kwanza! And all different holidays!
This has been a pretty wacky year, changes of many kinds have happened.
I'm sure you all have a million questions about this recent situation. All I can say is that these things happen, and it was for the best.
We are making the most important record of our career thus far. I can speak for the others by saying we have not been moved this much by music and inspiration ever, in all the years past. We feel this is a very special record, a big step in the growth of our band.
The new enviroment (Bob, writing in Maui), has sparked a new lifeblood in the band. We are now able to look to the past and finally learn from it. We remembered that we are first and foremost, a rock band. Simple as that. So now we shall rock. These tracks are making us want to play live forever.
So on with the good times. Don't worry about us. we're all grown-ups (ALMOST).
All we can do is move on with this flood of inspiration, and hope all of you enjoy what we come up with.
We will see all of you soon. And yes I will be around. I've always been around. I just like to play under the radar sometimes.

Your pal,
Jeremy "I saw a PS2 in the background of that Bin Laden tape" Taggart

P.S. Please have the jolliest New Year, but don't get too loaded. And Buy "Word Of Mouf" By Ludacris, It's a tad harsh, but he works the mic almost as good as Big Boi from Outkast.

Easy Billy Dee! Don't ruffle those tail feathers up! Your like the old librarian who clobbers kids on the head with books. I apologize for SPAMMING! Oops, I just spammed again! Damn. I got spam all over my hands!
Spamming is painful sometimes. It is good to contemplate life while on the spammer. LBJ was a great president, because he utilized his time on the spammer. He would openly discuss issues with his associates whilst spamming.
Please don't spam on my parade. Don't be a spam disturber. And for spam sakes don't make fun of my uncle for spamming at the dinner table.
Is this spam liquid or solid? Trainspotting, or Sommersby? I'll never know for sure. But It is quite a release. It is no burden on me. My back has been emptied of this spam.
I feel like a new born baby.

Jer

HA! HA! HA! I got you all! Spamoni! Uncle Spam wants you!
Summer of Spam! Moon over my Spammy! POOPY PANTS!
Ok. that's just about enough. I've lost my mind. You people have drivin me to a new height of insanity. I am trying to write as fast as I can. I hope that you all enjoy my prolonged visit. I like to hang out round these parts. especially this time of year. It's so pleasant round here.
I was full on ghetto growing up, so I sometimes had to wear my pop's big underwear. And once I had to wear Ma's big Brownies! YOWZA! Not that my folks were big, but I was little.
Cool huh?
Another time my brother Jetsun didn't have a clean shirt. So he wore a winter coat instead. I shared a math class with him, so he was like, "hey Jer, Check it out, I got no shirt on." And the teacher asked him to take his coat off, So Jet was all "it's kinda cold in here Teach." So he obviously kept it on.
Jet rules!
My brother James soiled his pants when he was in grade 1. So he had to wear these crazy cowboy chaps all day. How wacky is that?
Now those are my spam stories.
I'm flattered by your requests, but I can't do certain things. Like get record deals, or cook dinner, or wrestle your Grandmother. I can only say hello, and listen to your stories, or tell a couple funny tales.
I gotta go. But i'll be back. I gotta hang!

See you later ya'll,
Jeremy "what's my name?" Taggart

Well hello! It's snowing like mad here in Vancouver! I can't deal. My homies from toronto say it's warm as toast and sunny. what's the deal there? It never snows here. I guess it'll be good for snowboarding. What are ya gonna good huh kids?
How's my folks up in here? Hope all is well with yourselves.
We're working away like usual here, so far so good. I like it here in Vancouver, it's good times. People don't talk much here though. I tried talking to a person at a restaurant and they kinda blew me off. I was just asking this girl about the nightlife. It wasn't like I was asking her on a date! She was downright sour! I talk to people all the time, and Boy was she a crabby patty!
Anyhow I asked another person and they were pleasant enough. I found out about some clubs, and movies.
Hey! I heard a funny story about Bryan Adams! He wears cheesy speedo's when he's on vacation in hot locations. Jebus! Speedo's! I thought that they were illegal. Hey guy's check out Jeff Marek's Mojo magazine show 1:00 pm till 2:30 pm weekdays on Mojo radio am 640 in Toronto. You can listen online at www.mojoradio.com I go on thursdays at 2:15 with wacky rock and roll stories.
I need some food. So I'm gonna eat. I'll see you folks later.

Yer Pal,
Jeremy

I guess it's true that you can't keep everybody happy all of the time.
But that's my point. I'm trying to have a couple of laughs. I don't want to show off my brain capacity. I'm sure I could lecture on about life and what i've learned so far. Talk about all the talented and inspirational people i've met. But some of those things will only appeal to a small majority of you. And I don't want to bore you to death! That's why there are so many diffrent topics around here. I'll whine about it just a little.
I'm not trying to change the world with what I say. But I'm not intimidated to speak with anyone about anything. I know I don't even have to say these things, or try to prove to you people that i'm not a moron. I just have some time on my hands right now to say hi. So i'm willing to hang out around here and learn from you people.
To me, I don't feel like some Rockstar on a podium telling you whatever I want. I'm not a fucking rockstar, nor do I ever want to be one. I speak like this to my family. You people aren't Fans to me. Your just friendly people that listen to the band i'm in. OLP is truly "of the people."
And I don't feel like an ARTIST either. I play music because I love it. Does that make me an artist? No. I think it just makes me happy. My dad is an artist. Not me. His works amaze me to no end. His passion is no different than mine. He just seems like someone who lives his work. I don't. I love the drums, but I don't live to drum alone. Music is the fire that burns my soul. But it wasn't what burned it once before, and it may not in the future. I have dreams beyond music. It involves people. I will always be passionate about interacting with other people. Making them laugh, or learning from them, even arguing with them. That is truly what i'm on this earth for. Trying to figure out why I here through meeting others.
I may not get an answer from a single person, but I may learn something from the body of work.
Some people just eat shit for breakfast in the morning I guess. Grouchy motherfuckers.
Remember What I said about shooting people into space in an earlier post? One of the most brilliant humans i've met, Elvin Jones, Said that very line about a very rude an ignorant person.
Most of the time, I (Elvin included) prefer a funny story, to a diatribe about living forever any day.
I'll take Redd Foxx, or Lenny Bruce, over Mr. Math thank you very much.
But I will talk to Mr. Math at least once. Maybe he's a nice guy? Maybe he's too cool for school?

Yer pal,
Jer

Thank You!
Life is nice and long.
Somedays people complain about being bored and having nothing to do. And then they say life is too short?

05/02/2002 20:29

Hi all. I read anythimg OLP, so if you want to tell me stuff let's do it in there

16/03/2002 04:27
Hey Folks!
Jer here. We hope you like the new track. We worked very hard on this record, really hard. It's now ready for you all to taste.
I feel that this record is truly complete. We racked our brains and found out that sometimes when you let it be, it just is. This was the hardest and easist record we've ever made.
I learned to let go and guide quietly on this record. Therefore, the foundation is very simple and very strong for everything to be bulit on top.
I learned some wonderful things from Bob. He is a very musical and smart man. He took all of our strongest points and put them in the spotlight.
You can never know if your an asshole, or the nicest guy in town. Until someone slugs you, or gives you a hug in a certain way.
Bob was that fist, or those open arms.
So we saw what we were and made a rock record. Because thats what we are.
This album is a close to perfect picture of what we really are. An honest group of guys making music to make us happy. And we really are a pretty tough crowd to please.
I think we have something quite special here. I don't know if it will sell 1000 or 10 million, But I'm happy with the result. This is a truly successful album either way.
I hope you folks dig it like we do. If not, what can I do? Can I put your enemy in a headlock?

Yer pal,
Jer

08/04/2002 03:34

Thanks folks! Ya'll are so swell. I think you people are top!
I hope ya have fun. I'll see you all very soon.
We are almost all done. All but the cryin. The Obese lady is primin' up her gobbler!
Keep in touch everyone. I'll keep an eye on "anything OLP", and let you in on some happenings.

Yer drummin pal,
Jer

O-U-T-K-A-S-T!!!!
I can die now.

27/04/2002 04:16
Thanks to everyone who came out to the shoot! It was amazing! The video is going to be awesome.
We would like to say also that again we are very excited to play, and we are better and happier than we ever have been.
We'll miss Jamie but it will in no way effect our live shows. There is such a great chemistry happening with us that we feel closer to the audience than ever. Jamie played some amazing guitar on Gravity, and Steve has picked up on that fire added some more of his own.
We also wish Jamie the best of luck with his recordings. He is a great musician.
I hope you all have a chance to come and see for yourselves. I guarantee you'll feel what we're feeling. This record gets from us to you instantly! No wordy book required.
Onwards and upwords! We stomp across lands bringing our music to you!
STEVE MAZUR RULES!

Yer pal,
Jer

Hi. Thanks. See you all very soon.

03/06/2002 00:47

Hey we're rollin now huh folks! I just want to say we are so psyched about playing right now. We are better than ever! We're tighter, and way more confident. We feel ready for anything. a feeling that is quite new to us.
And The Eminem show is the best record i've heard this year. I know he says some harsh things. But he is one of the best lyricists in all music. Andre 3000 and Em rule the hip hop word (not world). His dressing room was beside us at the Hfeztival in D.C.
And he gave us quite a preview of the record. Knocked our socks clean off!

See you all soon.
Jer

Hi everyone! Thanks for all your hard work, calling, requesting and coming out to our shows. It's been our most exciting tour ever. The crowds have been electric. It's easier then ever to put on the best show that we can.
I find that it's been a little crazy on this board lately. It's more difficult to read through these posts than any Ray Kurzweil work. I can't believe it.
I hope you all can see through the madness and come to some agreement.
I just want to express to you the most important thing to us right now. We are very happy. Why? Because we LOVE playing together. That means we can continue with 100 percent confidence in everything we do. That means we aren't packing it in any time soon. It means we are the band we want to be.
I hope this makes you happy too. If it doesn't, maybe your hanging around on the wrong message board. You don't have to be anything to be here, but you should at least respect what we are doing right now.
99 percent of the people we meet and talk to after shows since we started this year feel this way. It makes us want to play forever.
An inspired band = an equally inspired crowd.
Thank you again for what you are doing for us. We couldn't ask for better.

Your friend,
Jeremy

Hi everyone. It's Jeremy here. I'm in an internet cafe in Amsterdam. It's pissing rain, and kind of chilly, Although strangely beautiful.
We are having the greatest time. Again I say it feels like a new band, but it really is wonderful. We laugh all day, and give 1000% every show. I can truly say we are living for our music. Not that we never have, but it just feels like all the hard work we put into this is finally paying off.
I hope every one of you that has come out to see us is feeling this. It feels very nice. Nice in a heavy motherfucker kind of way. Ahem.
I also am here for a shameless plug for a very great man. My father. His amazing clay work is going to be on display from November 14th, til december 14th. I really would love it if anyone would check it out. I assure you it will be worth your while. I learned how to play drums from this man, and he give all of himself in every piece. He really has something fresh to offer here. And if you really like one of them you can throw down some cash and take it home. It would also help the Christmas coffers for my folks gift buying. Again, I assure you, this dude ain't fucking around when it comes to clay.
Thanks for letting me plug Pops. Flood this place out. It's on Queen street, near Dufferin. The web address is, www.bracketgallery.com

Thank you everyone. I'll see you out here on the road!
Jer

I hope you can pull through this with a lot of strength. I can't imagine how tough it is. But i'm sure you'll be fine. Be strong and laugh as much as you can. As tough as cancer is, it can't kill love, and great memories. These are the things that make us who we are anyway, i'm sure your father loves you enough for several lifetimes, so just think about his strength whenever you need some help, and you will be awesome.

Your pal,
Jer
