Atum

One of the popular creation deities of ancient Egypt; Atum was an ancient deity associated with Heliopolis, who would later become associated and/or assimilate with other deities such as Ra and Amun. Atum is depicted as a man with a double-plumed crown, the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, or wearing the nemes headdress. His forces represented the dawn and the dusk. When the deluge of Nun covered the earth, Atum arose from the primordial mound. Atum then created all of creation by masturbation and spitting.
