My Lady Kachiko,

                These are troubled times we live in.  I have no need to hope you are well, I know you are.  If you receive this letter then you know I have contacted the one who was followed.  I believe we are having some success in the quest we have undertaken.  I fear the war from the Shadowlands will be upon us soon.  I need to ask a favor of you, as someone who also believed in the prophecy as our master did.  If you had a way to provide us with news of the outside world I would appreciate it.  We will be heading to the ocean along the border of the Unicorn, Phoenix and former Scorpion lands.  I can swim.
