Fighting made easy
Initiative: dex + ref + 3d6 ...high numbers go 1st. Easy enough
Attack: For this one, lets use an example. Mioko uses her katana to
attack Kurare. Mioko rolls her attack, kenjutsu (4)+ reflex (3)+ 3d6 +1
for the katana. It is actually all ready added near the bottom on her
weapon section...all she has to do is roll. She rolls a 10 + 8 = 18
Uh oh. Kurare needs to beat an 18 on his dodge!
Dodge = evade(5) + dex (4) + 3d6. (Also all ready added on the sheet
He rolls a 7 + 9 = 16. Ouchie!
Doing Damage: Time for damage. Damage of a katana is 4d6. It is further
modified by Mioko's strength (6). A weapon can UP TO DOUBLE. So while
a katana is capable of doing a possible 8d6, Mioko's strength allows a 6d6.
Mioko rolls a 31! (yes I rolled three sixes).
Taking Damage: Good thing Kurare was wearing armor. It was valued to
absorb 8 points of damage. That brings the damage down to 23 (31-8).
Kurare subtracts the 23 from his hits AND stun - stun defense. Well,
Kurare was a stun value of 15 and a stun defense of 6. 23-6=17. Well
Kurare is out cold. Doesn't matter anyway, cause he only had 20 hits.
20 - 23 = -3. Someone better start digging a grave.
In this case damage was applied to hits and stun. It Kurare was hit with
a log, it would only be applied to the stun. Get it?
