I started dancing in The Hague, Netherlands, in 1968, in a Sports Hall.  The school was called "Herculance" and was later taken over by Mr. van Viersen, the 1946 Dutch champion.  We had a big group of kids there and stayed together for years.  By the time we were 16 or 18 years old, we would all go out dancing together at various dance halls.  Often I would dance with my sister...... We cannot fly but we can dance!
The moment you figure out the approximate angle of your arms vis a vis your still somewhat stiff body, you begin to realize that you indeed have certain abilities you have not been aware of until then. From now on you cannot simply ignore the fact that you are contained in a body, that you take certain shapes in space and that you have to get used to seeing yourself in the mirror.... (more to come)
