| I have always held a fascination for the unique beauty of our Wilderness areas. My eyes have seen the Magic that is North Queensland. Having been fortunate enough to have been able to make a living trekking and camping out amongst the vast Wilderness areas of North Queensland my work has put me into the right places at the right time to attempt to catch the region in Photographs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| North Queensland is a very inspirational place for me. I have helped raise a family here and have had the pleasure to work and reside here for the last 30 years. My background and experience is varied...from engineering to sales and sales management. A late change of career direction into Horticulture and after studying the Botany of North Queensalnd I decided it was a lot easier talking about plants for a living then physically growing them. It was during the early eighties that I finally had a chance to develop my carreer turning a love of Bushwalking and being a keen naturalist into a carreer in Wilderness guiding. With tourism emerging from its embryonic stage in those days to the multi- million dollar madness it is today. With the advent of the nineties a lot of the original characters that had so much to offer had to make way for the more comercial operations you see in abundance today. And yet...things seem to be turning full circle...a growing percentage of travellers today want more then just off the shelf tourism experiences and are much more educated and environmentaly aware. |
